“More like a boutique hotel than a b&b!”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

We don't normally stay in b&bs as I don't like the idea of having to creep into someone's house at night - or feel I am being served breakfast in someone's kitchen in the morning but at carriers farm neither was the case. The rooms were separate from the house in an annexe and each room had its own front door to the outside, and there was a separate breakfast room where you were served the MOST delicious breakfast! A real treat - with immaculate attention to detail and gorgeous bed - One of those places that you actually look to see where the pillows and duvet are from so you can buy them and try and make your own bed as comfortable!

We stayed 2 nights in Hare room - this is the BEST B & B we've ever stayed at. Fiona has put much careful thought into what her guests might need and nothing is missing. The rooms are so tasteful, comfortable & welcoming; beautifully lit with relaxing music. Breakfasts are a delight with a fabulous selection of locally-sourced produce and home made bread & preserves. Who wants fried food when you can have this? And no nasty coffee & dried milk sachets or teabags - just the genuine articles.Thank you Fiona & Peter for making our 30th wedding anniversary treat even more special.

From the time you park your car until you leave there is a warm welcome waiting for you.Fiona is the perfect host mainly for her welcome but also all her home baking. The grounds are fantastic and there are lots of chickens, goats etc.we had an evening meal at Thr Rattle bone pub where the food and company was good.If you need a relaixing weekend stay here.

Room Tip: All the rooms are clean and finished to a very high standard.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review Carriers' Farm. I am really pleased you had a good stay and enjoyed what Carriers' has to offer. Glad too that you enjoyed your meal at The Rattlebone. I hope to welcome you back soon, perhaps for a winter get away and the Bath Christmas markets!

We have just spent three nights at Carriers Farm and found it to be very comfortable and welcoming. Fiona and Peter were perfect hosts and their farmland is open for you to explore should you wish. As mentioned by others if you insist on a fried breakfast then this isn't the place for you but what there is on offer is much better. Fiona bakes her own bread and makes preserves, the food is all sourced as locally as possible. Try the local meats and cheese for breakfast and you won't be disappointed, for a lighter meal there are salmon bagels or fruit compotes, all delicious. If we are in this area again we will be staying here.

Thank you Fiona for such a wonderful stay - so luxurious and relaxing. The rooms are so clean and comfortable. To hear gentle background music and smell sweet scents when you walk in your room was just so inviting. Delicious food - home made cake & biscuits and tasty breakfast choices. A great place to stay!

Carriers Farm exceeded all expectations. Fiona's warm and friendly welcome on our arrival together with a pot of tea and home-made cake made us feel very much at home. The accommodation was excellent. Our room spotless and very well appointed. The hospitality tray had a wide selection of teas ground coffee and even home-made biscuits. Breakfast was a delight, Fresh home-made bread and very generous portions of a quite unique continental breakfast selection. Our room had a very comfortable bed with a wide choice of cushions and pillows. There was excellent free wi-fi access and flat screen internet TV. The in room folder was a mine of useful information detailing not only local country walks but even menu's from the nearest local pubs. Carriers Farm is one of the best, if not the best B & B we have ever stayed in. We have already recommended it to friends and look forward to our next stay. Even if you had nothing else to do in Sherston it would be worth the journey just to stay at Carriers Farm.

Room Tip: From our own experience, talking to other guests and the reviews here it would appear that all of th...

A quite extraordinary and delightful bed and breakfast accommodation with exceptional and unusual amenities. . The facilities are incredible - the bedding luxurious. The towels were beautifully soft, the en suite bathroom was of a very high standard. Breakfast was unique and quite delicious and was served in our room as we had an early start the following morning. Carriers Farm is set in the most amazing part of the country with the village of Sherston itself well worth a visit. The houses are beautifully built made of local stone and the walks around the village are a delight. Fiona is quite a remarkable personality and made us feel very much at home.

Room Tip: All three rooms are equally good
