“Weekend Delight”
Reviewed September 19, 2011

Just enjoyed two marvellous nights at Carriers Farm Sherston. It seems Peter and Fiona are new to the bed and breakfast business but there`s nothing at all to suggest this is the case...they`re obviously natural hosts.
Great rooms exuding country comfort, open your door in the morning to views over open fields. Don`t expect a monster greasy fry up for breakfast, the choices provided are infinitely more interesting and, no doubt, much healthier, should that be a consideration on a relaxing weeklend.
Local intelligence suggested to us, also, that Royalty could be imbibing at the Rattlestone village pub but either there was no presence or the disguises were totally effective. Nonetheless an enjoyable evening was spent there partaking of a pint or two with the plebians.
Altogether the perfect B&B at which to spend a weekend in a delightful area with a great choice of visits within comfortable distance. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Only three we think, all to same super standard.

Fiona and family made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived to our departure. My wife and I were the very first guests under the new ownership and I can confirm they are naturals at guest house hospitality. The rooms are spotless, very quiet and Fiona could not do enough to make our stay perfect. Carriers Farm is a great location for exploring Sherston and surrounding area. We will definitely return when next in the area. It is a short walk (10 mins) from the centre of Sherston village; though it is along country lanes so bring a torch for late night ventures home from the Rattlebone Pub. Perfect for people who like their accomodation simple but with all expected ameneties.

A really superb B&B with the benefit of the high quality rooms being separate from the house but no more than five steps away. The breakfast was wonderful and the hosts very entertaining and good fun (We just made the Christening!!!). Location wise you could not get a better spot being close to Bath and the option of getting the train from near by Chippenham. The surrounding countryside, charming pubs and nearby walks make the need to travel far by car not necessary. I am told that Prince Harry even is a local at one of the pubs and local Church but I will leave that one for you to find out for yoursleves........ or maybe a bit of the Irish blarny!!

Myself friends and family have stayed numerous times at Carriers Farm and have to say we adore it. Brenda offers wonderful hospitality with beautiful rooms and homely feel. A very good friend of mine lives in Sherston hence the visits to Carriers Farm. My husbund and son love the breakfasts in the morning with lots of variety and full english breakfast with local produce. We ate at the Rattlebone in the evening on our last occasion and have to say it was a lovely meal with good ambience. There are lovely walks including the Arboretum which is just a few miles away, and some very pretty walks around sherston itself. We are staying again at Carriers Farm in April this year and am very much looking forward to it. My 7 year old son Tristan loves going here for the open spaces and the outdoors, and we love the great welcome!

We found this B&B when we were looking for places for our guests to stay during our wedding in a nearby village. We enjoyed our first visit so much that my husband booked it for him and his groomsmen to stay the night before our wedding, and we have been back since, during our most recent visit to the area. It's a charming, practical B&B, very clean and well presented, and within walking distance of The Rattlebone pub which does the most fabulous food. The breakfast in the morning is everything you could wish for, and the price of a night's stay is very very reasonable. But what keeps us coming back are the owners, Brenda and Chris, who are very friendly and funny, very knowledgeable about the area, and will go out of their way to help you if you can and will make you feel very welcome. I would recommend this B&B to anybody planning a visit to North Wiltshire.

We stayed at Carriers Farm for a wedding in Sherston village and it was a perfect location. It is just on the outside of the village, about a 10 minute walk from the centre, which means the pubs are within reach but you benefit from a lovely quiet and secluded location. It is perfect if you are visiting the Cotswolds, Westonbirt Arboretum, Badminton Horse Trials, the annual Sherston Boules tournament, etc. We received SUCH a warm welcome from Brenda and Chris, they really were amazing hosts and so willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. We felt more like friends than customers. The rooms are really cute, very very clean and comfortable, and the whole farm is just gorgeous, very pretty - charming quintessential England. The breakfast was delicious, and we just loved everything about our stay! I think Carriers Farm offers excellent value for money as you get all this for what you would pay to stay in an ordinary, sub-standard roadside inn. Also - Carriers Farm is the only place to stay in Sherston, so make sure you book early - we booked in January for a June wedding and got the last available room!

We found Carriers Farm by mistake and what a pleasant surprise. The rooms are in the old dairy as it is no longer a working farm so we could come and go as we pleased. We had lovely Breakfasts in the farmhouse. they have a choice of breakfast rooms: an intimate room for for two which we chose, and a large one for people who prefer to mix. The peace and tranquillity is just as they said on the website. The bedrooms are modern and the farmhouse is traditional English. Everything is spotlessly clean. We will be going back in the new year for sure.
