“Family Break”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

My family and i stayed in a 9m Yurt and it provided everything needed for a weeks camping, (minus the TV) which is a reason for getting away. The Yurts have comfortable beds, wardrobe and adequate seating, along with a wood burner and kettle. They are family orientated and very homely. Daisy Cottage is family run and it provides just the right warm welcoming atmosphere, we spent a week and wanted for nothing, the children loved the site and Michelle & Les have done wonders to restore the area into a beautiful place to relax. All facilities are adequate and clean and the Cafe offers a good menu of choice with delicious food & cakes, (highly recommend the therapy treatment available). The beautiful beaches are within walking distance and other attractions are nearby with a straight run to St Hellier.
Michelle & Les have done a great job setting up the site in such a short time, obviously teething problems are to be expected therefore an element of understanding is required from all who stay at such a beautiful place. We highly recommend Daisy Cottage and will certainly return again. Thank you all for everything.

My wife, baby daughter and I stayed in a 7m yurt - these are big, fun, homely tents without the hassel of bringing your own. The little wood fire kept us warm at night in the very comfortable beds. The yurt has a sort of adult Glastonbury feel about it! We had a wonderful warm welcome from Michelle and Les - nothing was too much trouble
The showers are great - hot and clean. The full English (or is it Jersey?!) breakfast was spot on.
This little gem is resurrected like Lazarus from the ashes!

Room Tip: go for a yurt!

We live in Jersey and as we both like eating out at many of the restaurants Jersey has to offer, my husband and I decided to try Daisy Cottage café as it had recently opened and we were hearing good reports about it.

It was absolutely excellent and we particularly enjoyed the home made mushroom soup - the best we have had anywhere. There were so many choices but I decided to have as my main course, the Chicken Forestiere which was excellent, very flavoursome and plenty of chicken. My husband had the steak with peppercorn sauce which was cooked just as he had asked and it was very tender. For dessert we chose the home made mango cheesecake which was really lovely. All the food was very well presented and very reasonably priced Doug the chef actually came out of his kitchen at the end of service to speak to the diners and to ask if we had enjoyed our meals. It is obvious he takes pride in his cooking. We enjoyed the meal immensely and will certainly return in the next month to try out some of the 'specials'. How fantastic for people staying on the campsite to have a café such as this onsite - I wouldn't bother to self cater when I could have food like this! It is very refreshing to find somewhere that is offering a quality product at a reasonable price and we wish Michelle, Les and Family every success in their new venture.
I might even be tempted to camp for a few days - I wonder why?

First time in Jersey and had a fantastic couple of nights at this campsite. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The cafe on site is ideal and the shower block was clean with great showers. We took our own tent and was good value for the quality of the site. Would definitely reccomend.

We stayed for one night in one of the bell tents, which was absolutely gorgeous. The facilities were great, and the site was lovely. The owners were incredibly helpful, and made us feel very welcome. I'd definitely recommend it.

We stayed 1 night in one of the camps bell tents. Absolutely lovely. The owners went out of there way to make us very welcome on our last minute stay. Bell tent was fab. Very spacious. Had table and chairs outside and lovely fairy lights. Campsite itself is family very well maintained. Toilet and shower blocks were exceptionally clean. Small Woden play area for kids and swimming pool. And cafe/bistro - looked good but we went down to grieve de leccq which was a short walk away. Had a look round a yurt and they looked lovely. Will definitely be going back. Many thanks

We camped here for a long weekend on a last minute trip to Jersey. The campsite has everything you need with nice toilet block, great showers and a cafe/bar/restaurant on site.
It's located a short walk to the coast with some lovely coastal routes and a direct bus to St Helier a few minutes walk down the road.
Michelle couldn't have been nicer and more helpful with extra blankets on a surprisingly cold night and posting my electric toothbrush (which I left in the shower block) to me without any fuss. They also gave us a lift to the airport for an early morning flight. Absolutely couldn't be nicer people who are building something special. The campsite is also built from a great philosophy - which I'm sure Michelle will tell you more about :)
I don't normally write reviews but really wanted to say thanks for everything and would definitely recommend camping here if you are visiting jersey.
