I really can't say enough good things about Pura Vita. First off, the beach is simply stunning. The resort is located about 45 minutes on foot from the main area of Koh Rong. That's quite a good thing, as the main area is crowded and a bit dirty. The Pura Vita beach, however, is huge, empty and stunning. The bungalows are nicely equipped with comfy beds and simple furniture. The water pressure is a bit low in the showers and sink, but when you remember that you're on an island that problem seems to fade. The woman who runs the resort, Vanny, is incredible. She is kind, caring, chatty and just all around great. The food menu is limited, but what is available is delicious. If you're looking for a place to kick back, relax and soak up the sun on a wonderful beach, Pura Vita is your place.

This place is located in the paradise. It is the only resort on this beautiful beach, which you can reach by a 45 minutes walk from Koh Rong's main pier, or by taxi boat (10$) or by calling the resort asking them to pick you up. The beach is stunning: white sand, cristal clear waters and absolutely nobody there. We were there a few days after new year's eve (peak season) and in the crowdest moments there were 5-6 people on this 1.5km long beach. Amazing.
The rooms are basic but nice and have private bathroom. They provide mosquito nets, beds are comfortable. It is a bit pricey (65$ per nigt, including breakfast), but if you want to be in a truly tropical paradise for a few days, this place is definitely your choice.
The restaurant where you will eat all your meals (since there is nothing else on the beach) is quite nice, even though without many choice (understandably, given remoteness). Pastas are surprisingly good (we are italians!).

This hotel is wonderful! Vanny, the lady who runs the place is very nice and always tries to help if you have a problem. The beach is the nicest beach I have ever seen!!! :-) the only downside for this hotel is that it has no wifi

My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights because we both wanted to have a very relaxing few days without having to to anything as we'd just come from Phnom Penh. The setting is beautiful, Vanny (the owner?) is lovely but the rest of the staff don't have much comprehension of English, this wasn't really a problem though. Our room was made up every morning and breakfast is complimentary. Food is tasty but not amazing and the wait is longggg! So it's fine if your not starving when you arrive because once it does you will be. The shower is cold but with such hot weather it was nice and refreshing. Sure it's pricier than most other places but for a beautiful deserted beach and some peace and quiet, we didn't mind at all. And it's only pricey in comparison to other places in Asia, back in Australia we'd pay a few hundred for a place like this. We had a great stay!!!!

There's a definite Robinson Crusoe feeling to the place with the white sandy beach and the scattered bungalows.
We weren't lucky with the weather so we shortened our stay but I'd recommend the place warmly.
Vanny, the lady who owns and runs the place is absolutely lovely! She's a great cook, hostess, manager.....
Worth going to if you need to escape the stress of modern civilization!
