Went to the Greek night with some friends and had a great night out- authentic tasty Greek food, Ouzo, plate smashing & Greek dancing for £15. Would definitely recommend it. Check out Giorgos on his guitar - he's a legend!

We stayed at the Sidings and ate the Mezes night and then in the Italian in the Pullman carriage on the second night. no complaints whatsoever. Easily pleased and value for money. Nice red wine!

The menu was very good and catered for our full party's needs. Mainly Greek and Italian food which was superb. Whilst we were there the Il Treno Ristorante went under a new name, and the signage went up for Meditteraneo and a new menu was to be updated very soon. Can't wait to try it next time !

We nipped into this restaurant on our way back from Beningbrough as i'd driven past hundreds of times but never been in. We were seated in the rear of the restaurant in the window looking onto the railway line. The food was very nice, both myself and my partner thought it was as good as any other Italians in York. The service was impeccable and the food was brought out in good time. We will most certainly be back.

On our first night,a Sunday, during our stay ay the Sidings we decided to eat in their resteraunt. The staff were extremely helpful , explaining what items on the menu were and apologising that the lamb joints had been claimed by the group before us. But that didn't matter as there was plenty to chose from,.
Starters and puddings averaged a touch under £5 whilst mains were around £15.
All four of us were more than pleased with our meal and, had it not been that we wanted to do the Ghost hunt ( a must if you are in York , every night from the Shambles, ) we would have definitely eaten there on our second night.
The resteraunt does monthly Greek nights and advertised a reasonably priced Sunday lunch as well.
