This is a musem like no other museum
Lots of collections, an old village, picnic areas and a “train”. This can be hard to find . It’s off the main Angers-Segrée-Chateaubriand dual carriageway D966 just after Segré in maine et Loire. Look for the Nyoiseau sign and go through the lengthy village on the Grande Rue – D71. Just outside on the right is a turn and follow the main lane through the wood. The end opens out into a large parking area.
Go on a dry day and take your waterproofs just in case. There are collections or toys, tractors, lots of animals, an old town where they have the goods marked in old prices and you can see what school was like in those days. There is an area for refreshments and a merry-go-round for kids.
Take a picnic – there are plenty of areas for these and the helpful “train” driver will point out the best ones. The “train”- a motorised road one with two open carriages starts at the entrance and run round the site at regular intervals. You can even leave you picnic basket at the various stations.
It’s a fun, family day out. Something for every-one. Go an enjoy it!;

Yes – it’s so big that you need 2 locations to fully realise that it’s all the same place!
