We had a great time here. We chose to spend a few nights here during our trip to France and we were delighted that we did! We went in early Sep (2011) and the weather was fantastic. We had never been to a clothing optional place before and found this aspect of The Lotus Tree to be very liberating. The guests come in all ages and shapes/sizes, both body wise and down below wise and all are there for relaxation, a break, being nude or not, and to meet other guys too. There are also plenty of things to do in the locality with old restaurants set in amazing surroundings and nearby towns to visit. We had the classic studio and it was perfect. We cooked dinner in one evening (buying food in the nearby town). No issues at all and the people are great. My friend even scored there (which he told me to say just in case single people think it is all couples!). A great fun and very relaxing time.

Room Tip: Classic studios offer more room (and cooking facilities) than double rooms.

We stay in one of the shared room . Room was under roof and 6 sqm small. It was about 40 C outside and 38 C inside temperature . No air-conditioning , no refrigerator . Only the small table fan blower and 50x50cm window .. Only think what u want to do in that room -"Don't stay in that room!" ..
I guess 80 euro per night in for night in such a room is rather expensive! This double room I will definitely don't recomend to my friend !

We take the comments of our guests very seriously. These two rooms are under the roof which wasn't properly insulated. We have now had them fully insulated so that the heat of the sun no longer affects them in the way it did before. This keeps them much cooler, just like all our other rooms. And we have portable air conditioners available on request.

The lotus tree has a beautiful location and fantastic pool. We stayed in one of the rooms with a shared bathroom, which was ok - everything was kept very clean and comfortable. The grounds are well-maintained and the sunbeds are very comfortable. The welcome was very friendly from both Lance and Arpad. We had the breakfast, which was served on a terrace outside and provided coffee/tea, juice and fresh bread and pastries with conserves.
There were only really a couple of minor drawbacks, which was the temperature in the room, which was not air-conditioned and was very hot at night; and the size of the room, which was small for two of us, with little storage space. It wouldn't stop me going back, but I would opt for one of the studios rather than the room.
The clientele was mixed - ranging in age from around 30 upto around 70. Most of the guys would have been between 35-45. The atmosphere around the pool was quiet but friendly.
The location is quite remote, so a car is necessary but there's plenty around the place to go and see.

Room Tip: Go for a studio, not one of the rooms

We had a FANTASTIC time. Lane and James were very accomodating! They made you feel like you were staying in someone's home! The pool and freedom were exilerating! We enjoyed every moment and plan on returning soon. We recommend it to all!

Wonderful room, excellent bed, beautiful, idyllic surroundings and pool, and above all a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere... with so much to do and see in the area too - who could ask for more?

This was our third trip and it was as special as ever. Lance and James are great hosts and are very skilled at making all the guests feel welcome. We particularly enjoyed the bread and pastries bought in fresh every day from the local patisserie for breakfast. In the evening, we were pleased to find a small selection of places to eat within walking distance of the property, with many others easily accessible by car.

It's wonderful to be able to enjoy the local flora and fauna, without leaving the property, so extensive are the grounds at the back of the house. In June we were just in time to catch the lizard orchids and enjoy a large variety of butterflies, including swallowtails, fritilleries, white admirals, marbled whites, blues and skippers.

The Lotus Tree is a special place and we will definitely return.

Things are pretty busy at present for me at present. But I managed to get a 5 day trip to the Lotus Tree in over the weekend. As soon as I got there it was relaxing and friendly, room was clean and bright, nice fittings and comfortable.

Service was great with really delicious breakfasts, and a couple of nice dinners. It's as sociable as you want it to be, but we met some really nice people and everything was very friendly.

Unfortunately we had a couple of rainy days. but once the sun comes out the swimming pool really sparkles.

Room Tip: Either of the 2 studio rooms are great.
