My husband and I stayed in the motel accommodation for two nights whilst visiting the area. While it could do with some sprucing up, it was very clean and all you need for a good sleep. The bed was very comfortable and the room was an ok size. Air conditioner worked well and there was also a ceiling fan. Bathroom could have done with some clothes hooks. Close to the highway, but we never heard any noise from it or adjoining rooms. The caravan park also looked really nice with lots of shade and green grass. Can definitely recommend it.

We have just spent a week in NT using Adelaide River as our base. We stayed in a 1 bedroom, self contained, air conditioned cabin. The staff were friendly and always happy to answer any questions, or just have a chat. The cabins are within the precinct of the BP service station, the Bistro and very necessary "PUB". We whiled away a few hours chatting with the locals in the pub, there are certainly a couple of characters there. We would highly recommend a stop in Adelaide River on the Stuart Highway, just an hour and a half from Darwin, even if it is just for a "Barra Burger" and a beer for lunch. Well done guys *****

Room Tip: You have a choice of Cabin or if you are towing a caravan, the Caravan Park is also part of the site.

We had booked into a motel room but arrived here earlier than expected so on recommendation at check-in we upgraded to a cabin with air-con. Well worth it! Very nice (if basic) accommodation with a little kitchenette, lounge room and separate bedroom. There's also a small swimming pool for cooling off. We had dinner and a few beers in the bar - there's an OK buffet and also a menu option (fish & chips, schnitzels etc). Fish & chips very good. Bar/kitchen staff were very friendly and helpful. Well worth a stop on the drive to/from Darwin.

What an excellent little park this is! When I arrived manager Bill Russell took me to a very nice shady site, connected my water and power and otherwise assisted in setting me up. Bill and his partner Eva could not have been more helpful or obliging during my stay. As soon as the site immediately adjacent to the disabled amenities came available, Bill offered it to me and assisted me to move there. The site fee was $25 per night for a powered site for 1 or 2 adults. The disabled amenities were in good condition and very clean. The general amenities block similarly was in good order, Soap and paper towels were provided in both facilities. This is only a small park and it is extremely popular. Bookings are not accepted for sites and on some days all powered sites had been taken by lunchtime. The sites are well watered and have thick buffalo grass. Sites also have plenty of shade. You can wash you car or van on site as it assists in keeping the grass thick and green. The Stuart Highway and the Central Australian Railway both pass at the front of the park but traffic or train noise is not really an issue. There are only 5 or 6 trains a day and most people at the park seemed to like watching the trains go by. The Diggers Bistro which is part of the complex serves excellent reasonably priced meals, and the traveller can enjoy a drink from the 303 Bar in the green and shady beer garden.

Great little caravan park either powered or unpowered. Family of 4 cost us $25 a night for a powered site. Green grass and well maintained gardens as far as the eye can see. Nice pub which fronts the park is good for a meal and a beer. Busy outside the park during the day and quiet at night. The host / caretaker is a busy fella but makes you feel most welcome. The park is also well located if you want to visit Litchfield National Park.
