We did not stay at this hotel but did stop and eat there one lunch time and that would be enough to make me want to return. A great choice of dishes on the menu but you could do a lot worse than ask for the suggestion of the chef. We had a Meze to fill a table followed by the biggest freshest grilled fish I have tasted in a long time.

Quite delightful and what a stunning view from the al fresco tables on top of the cliff

Room Tip: I did not stay so cannot comment other than to say my lunch was delicious and I wish I could have st...

Firstly, remember you are in North Cyprus and dealing with Turkish culture. Also, Ayfilon Beach is located in a very rural and remote part of the Island. With this understanding you will not be surprised by what you find. The hotel is small with only 6 rooms. Four have ensuite bathroom but the water pressure is not great. The beds are singles but can be put together for a double. The sheets and towels were clean and the room was fresh and bright. The hotel complex overlooks a very nice bay but it does have some dead seaweed on the beach and in the water. The neighbouring beach (short walk) did have a great deal of rubbish (remember that this is the Turkish North) but it will never be crowded and the sea there is wonderful. This is one of the "turtle beaches" but don't expect to see any turtles as the beach is technically closed from 8pm to 8am when the turtles lay eggs or eggs are hatching. Nicely positioned resturant but the food is nothing special. Overall this is a good place to overnight, maybe two nights at the most, if you plan to see the Karpaz Peninsula. Eat once at their restaurant but you can pop down the road to the town of Dipkarpaz and find a selection of eating places. No AC in rooms but they do have a fan. A quaint church ruin site makes the whole area a nice phot from the bay looking back.

Room Tip: All rooms face the water so no choice there. The no bathroom rooms are away from the main building b...

When we decided to have our wedding on the Karpas Peninsula at the Oasis Hotel we knew it would be a challenge, being in such a remote area, however Mashallah and his staff provided us with outstanding service throughout the planning and execution of our event. Mashallah was patient throughout the many meetings we had with him and his staff were welcoming, in fact we felt like part of the village by the time we left!

In the run-up to the wedding, we were given a wonderful meal for our food-tasting and Mashallah arranged for the whole venue to be cleaned, including the beach and the church. He even levelled the beach for us so we could have a dance floor! Mashallah also put up lights to highlight the beautiful church and arranged two boats to be filled with ice for drinks. The food on the night was fantastic - a huge Turkish Cypriot meze with a variety of vegetarian, meat and fish dishes. We could not have asked for a better host!

Our wedding was in the evening and we had the most spectacular sunset. Our guests were wowed by the setting and the hospitality of the staff. I cannot recommend this venue enough - it is just beautiful, especially for sun-downers.

We were booked there for 2 nights, with 2 rooms, one ensuite and one without an attached toilet,as another was un available. We had made these bookings months ago, and despite wanting to pay online to secure our bookings we were told that they do not require any payment to be made and our booking is confirmed. Upon arrival, we were told that they have reserved only one room for us,that too without the bathroom, for my husband, myself and our two full grown teen aged sons. There was no apology or even an attempt at any mollification, despite my showing them clear and precise e mails on my I pad. In fact the staff we positively rude, and we were told to take the room or leave it.
With little choice, as oasis is very far from civilisation we were forced to stay that night. Besides we had travelled from very far away to spend time in this beautiful unspoilt part of the world.
There is no air conditioning, which of course we knew, but there is also no fan,
In the month of June, the night was hot and we were devoured by mosquitoes.
The extra bed was dumped outside our bedroom.
The towels were thread bare and tattered around the edges.
The common shower did not have sufficient hooks to hang clothes, underwear and towel, and having a bath was a juggling act,
The common bath room tanks were not insulated, thus we had hot and hotter water, thus could not have a shower, in the afternoon, only at night.
Clothes line outside room, mars views and clothes peg provided were three in number,
No drinking glasses in the room, upon asking for some, were warned to return them,
Bus loads of day trippers for lunch, so queues post lunch, for the loo.
We came to the restaurant at 10.00pm for dinner, to be informed the cook had gone to sleep.
Common shower door lintel height is below the 2100mm standard with no signage, so my overgrown son knocked his head very hard.
And the WORST, the beach outside the resort was FILTHY, full of garbage, which is very very heartbreaking as the setting is sublime, and no pictures can do it justice.

The area is beautiful, unspoilt and and a lost paradise. The drive from DIpkarpaz toward the end in unparalleled in beauty and totally unspoilt, however there was garbage of the plastic variety everywhere.

Responsible tourism, from both the traveller and from the providers is a must, and in a service industry, politeness and helpfulness should be an anthem,

Room Tip: If you like the unspoilt then karpaz is a must. Pitch a tent on the beach.

Absolutely idyllic location on the low cliffs overlooking the beach and ancient harbour and next to the ruins of a Byzantine church and ancient city. The beach 250m west of the hotel is one of the best and quietest I saw, even by comparison to the rest of Karpaz. Nice rooms. By comparison the food is a bit of a let-down. Not bad, but a bit mundane and the bread really needs sorting out.

We stayed for one night in November 2011 and was idyllic. The room was rustic with shower and toilet cubicles in the room but they were clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helful and the food was stunning. We will defintely go back
