Me and my friend spend 3 days at Kathleen and Pepe casa botania, we loved the place, the room had a great view to the valley, breath taking, lots of birds and wildlife in the area, for us it was a resting point.
Now to get to that area can be bit hard, but it was an adventure, the location is perfect in high point looking to the valley, you can take a great hike down the rivers which was so great, no people around, and dont miss to get some coffee from san vito, cafe Lila, they grow and roast it there and its amazing !!.
Kathleen father was the chef and he made us an amazing dinner 3 course dinner for 18$ is not bad at all.
Pepe arranged for us the transfer from sierpe to drake bay and the safe parking for the car, thanks pepe, i really think that this area will be the next place to be.
The room - was great , clean , perfect view, hot water, clean towels and great bed to rest after a long day.
Food - killer breakfast, amazing coffee ( Lila coffee )
the area - very rural, wild and amazing, dont miss the hike down to the forest its like 3-4 hours , with lots of river and places to rest, in addition lots of coffee plantations in the area, at the end of the hike you end up at san vito center, nice little town, we had some tasty cakes and coffee in a local bakery , was so good and so cheap.
So guys, if you in costa rica and have the time to head all the way down to san vito, dont miss a visit at casa botania .
thank you guys , and lots of warm regards from me -Aviv - dutch israeli guy & Shalom israeli
P.s - Kathleen send hello to your father. :)
