“What an incredible place”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

It was our first time in Lake Tahoe and we could not have had a better experience thanks to our stay at The Landing. The service was great and food was to die for. The views of the lake were awesome also and skiing was just a couple blocks away. There was also a spiritual vibe that seemed to bring a lot of peace to the place. I think the owners spared no expense and really put there hearts into every detail.

This is the best hotel in the US which I ever stayed.
All staffs are very friendly, always smiling and very professional.
Room, bed, bathroom, firepiece, sofa... everything was wonderful and so comfortable to stay.
This is MUST STAY hotel, and worth to spend money.

Room Tip: Better to choose a room with view (Lake Tahoe)

We booked last minute and was this ever the best choice! Everything was perfect from the valet service, welcoming champagne, dinner at Jimmy's, walk on the private beach, heated bathroom floors and toilet seat, relaxing huge spa bathtub, robes, giant towels, first-class toiletries, gourmet coffees in the room, fridge and wines available in the room, soft and comfy bed and pillows, great view of the lake from our private balcony, Fireplace, great tv....I could go on. My only regret was we were only there one night. Next time we will plan an extra day to use all of the facilities! A not-to-miss hotel!!! Worth every penny and more!

Room Tip: Plan an extra day to take advantage of all the amenities!!

Everything about The Landings is customer friendly. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous bathrooms, great staff, awesome spa services, clean, clean, clean, and the location can't be beat. The hotel is literally a few steps from the beach. We stayed for 4 nights and were very impressed. The first night the staff provided us with a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary.

We enjoyed a couples massage at the spa, my husband's first, and he is now hooked! The robes provided in-room are so comfortable that I purchased one to take home. The location is close to the Heavenly Gondola (highly recommend) and the Emerald Bay cruise out of Zephyr Cove.

We had one small issue with the fireplace in our room. I reported it to the concierge and it was fixed immediately....again, great customer service.

The only thing that could be improved is the on-site restaurant (Jimmy's). While overall the food was good, there were several mistakes made with our orders (breakfast/dinner). I understand that the restaurant has had some management changes and must still be working the kinks out.

Overall a great place to stay when visiting Tahoe-would definitely recommend!

My new bride and I stayed here for two nights on June 16-17. We loved the place! We were offered champagne upon arrival, and because it was our honeymoon, had a bottle waiting for us in our room. Very nice.

Kayla at reception was friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. So were the valet and bellhop, whose names I unfortunately forget, who both gave us great advice on places to eat and things to do.

Our room was on the third floor of the separate building across the parking lot, and the view of the lake was spectacular. The room wasn't large, but it was very comfortable for us, and the bathroom with the radiant heated floor and heated toilet seat was just delightful.

We ate at Jimmy's downstairs one evening, and it was great! The wine sommelier, Jacob, was helpful and right on with his suggestions. We enjoyed talking with him. And our waitress, Shayamali (I hope I spelled it right) was both professional and a delight.

This was a great place to stay and eat, and we would definitely stay here again.

Only weeks after their opening, we were nervous to stay in the hotel as the initial reviews were mixed. We were pleasantly and thoroughly surprised from even before we arrived at the hotel. En route from San Jose, the concierge team was happy to help us with making last minute reservations for us so we didn't waste any time once we there. Then, from the first moment we stepped inside and were greeted with a glass of Champagne, we loved it ... so much so, that we decided to stay an extra night. You won't want to leave the room, the staff is exceptional, kitchen great, and location couldn't be better. Literally have nothing negative to say about this property, which contributes a modern and luxurious touch to the evolving Lake Tahoe area. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Go for the view!!! But all rooms are beautiful!

We just returned from a four night stay at The Landing Resort and Spa and enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff was polite, available, and knowledgeable about activities and restaurants in the area. The amenities in the room were just remarkable (heated marble bathroom floors? Yes, please). The shuttle service was prompt and made our day to day activities much more convenient and, thus, more enjoyable. We toured the entire lake and must say that the view from the balcony of our suite was among the most beautiful we experienced. Hope to return to the resort soon!
