I stayed in this cabin with my adult daughter and her small dog for a couple nights prior to the July 4th holiday. It was rustic but clean and comfortable. A public beach/dog beach is within 3 blocks of the cabin and takes just a few minutes to walk. The kitchen was well equipped and bathroom of decent size and modern. We especially enjoyed the fenced backyard and hot tub. The neighborhood is close to Hwy 50 but quiet. The reservation process was easy and the price reasonable considering the time we were staying. Keep in mind this is in the 'town' forest and many creatures call the area home. We would definitely consider this property again.

This charming little cabin was perfect for my husband and I to stay for a weekend with our two dogs. The pictures don't do it justice... the cabin has a collection of great photos and artifacts about the history of Lake Tahoe.
Chuck, the rental agent, was a dream to arrange the booking with at the last minute and very quick to respond to email.
The cabin is 2 blocks from a dog beach and walking distance to restaurants. We cooked our meals in the well-appointed kitchen and grilled out in the backyard. The hot tub in the fenced in yard was ready upon our arrival and heated to a perfectly relaxing 104 so we could enjoy the cool evenings gazing up into the pine tree tops. The cabin had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The cabin and yard were both clean and well maintained.
It is a small space, great for a couple, however it would be tight for four people. There is a small bedroom with a double bed and a fold down futon couch in the main room. We live in a 400 square foot apartment in San Francisco, so we are used to small spaces.
I can't wait for our next getaway to the Kokanee Cabin!
