“Fun "old time" spot”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Family and I had a fun "old time" drive-in lunch experience at the Sno-Flake. Classic drive-in menu and good ice cream treats for afterward.

“Excellent burgers and shakes”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

If you've visited SLT and never tried the Sno-Flake then shame on you ! The most indulgent shakes are worth the trip alone - don't try to drink them, it's not possible - and the burgers are grilled to perfection, reminding why burgers became so popular in the first place. Not cheap for what it is but definitely required.

“Classic burger joint”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Loved the burger, got their 'big cheese'' but substituted turkey patties, and fries. Let's start with the burger, loved it. The house dressing pulled it all together. Literally one of the best burgers I've had. Being a french fry snob, these fried would make my top 10 list. The atmosphere was fun, however I do wish they would have been playing oldies music instead of the slightly hard edged current music you hear on any radio station. Big menu, lots of ways ways to have your burger done. People in front of us ordered 2 small cones, they were so huge everyone was cracking up, they even asked someone to take their picture holding them, commenting they were glad they got the small. The value was excellent, highly recommend this place. Two thumbs up.

“SLT Institution”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

Been in SLT for at LEAST 30 years. Great place to get some ice cream in the summer; other food is just so-so (standard burgers, fries, tacos, etc.) You can sit outside and its close to the lake. The only downside is that sometimes the lines can get loooooong, and SOME of the teenagers working the counter are really, really grumpy. (However, the kitchen staff, when they give you your food, are REALLY happy and nice... wish I could tip THEM instead of the tip jar for the grumpy teenagers!)

“NOT a throw-back to a better time!”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

Stopped by this small place, which has a vintage look to it, and we were hoping for a genuine classic Milk Shake. The sign on the front said something about "best milk shakes", so decided to give it a try. My review is based only on the Ice Cream (actually, it is only soft-serve in two flavors plus a swirl.)
The teenage staff seem to resent being disturbed by you giving an order, and I know working here is not the greatest job, but even the teenage food court staff in "Fast Times" were more cheerful and animated...The shake itself was very disappointing. Basically it is soft-serve, with some milk thrown in. That and a vanilla soft-serve cone will cost you more than $8 bucks...The vanilla cone was good and creamy, but you can actually get the same type of flavored cone at Mickey Ds'...The chocolate milk shake is basically like a Wendy's Frosty with some milk...

I hate making any downer comments, but the product/price/service parts of the equation were not there. There are some outside tables where you can sit next to the highway and watch the world go buy...But at this price-for soft-serve...Just can't do it.
