“Good place if you dont want to walk far”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

Went here for dinner the night we arrived. We were staying at the hotel that it is attached too. The service at first was horrible, but come to find out one of the servers was late to work. After she arrived the service was much better. The food was good and reasonably priced. I would eat here again.

“Ho Hum food but great view”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

We both ordered shrimp scampi. The shrimp were OK, the sauce not bad but the dish was covered with sun dried tomatoes that did not appear to have been reconstituted - at least there was no way we could either cut or chew them. Service was good, the wine list interesting and well priced and the view is fabulous

“Great Lunch Great View Great Staff - Seems to Have Several Names”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

Blue Water Bistro, Bistro on the Pier, call it what you want, it is at 3411 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, on the water, where they rent boats and do parasailing trips. The other Pier, where the locals go, not the Ski Run Blvd Pier where the Riva Restaurant is.

This little bistro is great, upstairs is a lovely dining room with outside balcony or indoor seating, and a bar. The view is fantastic. The food was excellent, with good portions. The staff was helpful and friendly. The cost was ok, very fair for the quality and location.

Two of us booked a table for 6 on the balcony, while the teens went parasailing. By the time the kids were back, there were 3 tables put together on the end of the balconly for us. Perfect. I would definitely eat here again. We had burgers and fries, calamari appetizers, salads, and several other dishes I can't remember. It was all good, as were the beers and bloody mary's!

“BEAUTIFUL VIEW AND GREAT FOOD”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

We grabbed a seat outside on the second floor looking out at the lake and the sunset. My wife and I split the Asian Chicken Salad - very large, very good - only complaint the chicken was a tad dry, the French Onion Soup - perfect!, the Shrimp Cocktail - only 4 large shrimp, but they were excellent, and they had great cocktail sauce, the Chicken Piccatta - absolutely outstanding!, and the Brownie/ice cream for dessert - perfect. They have a small kitchen, so i'm guessing if it's very crowded you may have to wait a bit longer for your food than we did, but it's worth the wait, and the ambience is wonderful while you're waiting. Bring a jacket or sweater, because if you sit outside once the sun goes down it will cool down quickly. This place will be a staple now for all our visits to Tahoe in the future. Can't wait for that Chicken Piccata again!
