“Mountain cleared due to Storms”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Went up and hiked a black trail and when we got to the top a staff member came up and told us we had to leave due to storms. I was surprised that all our money was refunded at the bottom with out asking. We went up at 1030am and was evacuated at 1pm

“Awesome place.”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

We went to Tahoe on first week of July with the group of 8 adults and one 2 year old kid, we saw the pics of lake on various websites and got excited about the jaw dropping views we reached there Saturday afternoon and checked in to the horizon hotel, which was a nice place (I was actually worried about the hotel at first becomes the reviews of this hotel was not so good) then we went for short walk to the market we had lunch at Burger King and after the adventure starts, we hired a 24 feet long boat which cost is approx $200 with fuel, we drove the boat for almost one hour and me and my friend actually jumped in the lake which was the most adventures moment of my life as it was first time I was jumping in the open water, it was AWSOME then we came back to our hotel after heaving a nice time and took rest for some time and prepared to go casino in our hotel and others too but the best casino was in HARRAH'S, next day we went on gondola which made us think twice before buy the ticket but we finally bought and it was actually not disappointed choice, great view from gondola and from the first stop it felt like i was in heaven it was so nice and quite that i fell in love with it.
We tried Indian food on Saturday night at Taj Mahal Restaurant and almost spent $70 for 4 people which was I think the priciest and pathetic food I have ever eaten with very low class service, I would never recommend any one be it Indian or any other race to eat there

And the time was over for the trip we all had a good time and hoping to go back again may be in winters this time.

Must visit place.

“Nice day trip”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

Great views from the observation deck and trails on top. There is an option to pay $8 more for $15 worth of food up top.

“Summer Ride for the view”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

We rode in early July. The views were draw dropping. The first part of the ride is an enclosed, 6 person gondola. Part 2 of the ride is an open ski lift. The ski lift was out of commission when we went (which they failed to advise us when we bought the $30 each tickets) and when I complaint they gave me a full refund. That is customer service! The hiking itself up top is nothing special, but the end of the hike is where you get the pay off. 9000 feet above sea level with a great view of the lake. Pricey but worth it. Only wished we could have gone to the very top.

“weather permitting!”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

For the cost, you do get a full day's worth of fun ... if the outing does not get canceled and you get returned to point of origin. If a storm blows up somewhere and the company decides, for safety sake, you all must return from the starting point. Price is not inexpensive ($42 range pp) but we did make it up and back. Hiking plans were out of the question and we were the last ones up on the ski lift part of the ride. No disembarking but we still enjoyed the views. We did not go to customer service and place a request for another ride(as we believe others did) but keep this in mind if weather disrupts your pricey trip to the top.

The gondola goes up to an observation tower, then to the lodge (lunch, climbing tower, hikes) and then you can get the ski lift for the fun trip to the top of the mountain for more hiking (weather permitting).
