We stayed at Heavenly Valley for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. At one point during the week there were 20 of us staying there. I do not know where to begin to express how great this place is and the way Linda and Johan go above an beyond to make you comfortable there is amazing. The property itself it breathtaking, we spent hours at the numerous outdoor gathering areas playing cards, sitting and talking, and playing horse shoes. Night time was my favorite time when we all gathered around the fire pit. Linda and Johan joined us by the fire and by the time we all left they felt like part of our family. The rooms are amazingly clean, comfortable, and everything you will need is already in there. The breakfast every morning was amazing. Fresh fruit, pastrys, and Linda always has a great dish ready to serve, weather its her amazing breakfast bake, pancankes, or my son's favorite her amazing french toast. By the end of the week we can honestly say we were truly sad to leave and there were tears shed when we did. We can not wait until we get the chance to return to the lodge! Thank you again for making this important occasion the most memorable exerience our family has had.

Room Tip: I was in 10 of the rooms and they were all amazing.

We enjoyed the hospitality of Linda and Johan over the 4th of July holiday and were not disappointed. From the cookies in our room each day to the great breakfast each morning, our visit was great. Johan and Linda were gracious hosts and take a personal interest in making their guests welcome. They made great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. We'll be staying there next time.

We spent a Heavenly Honeymoon here when my husband and I married in Lake Tahoe (each for the first time; both at age 58!). Our "cabin" was the "Heavenly Hideaway" and, ahhh, what a treat! It was immaculate daily and the bed linens were pure luxury. There was no A/C, but Linda assured us that the evenings were cool and suggested that we sleep with the window open and the ceiling fan on. Great idea. She's a fantastic cook and breakfast each morning was nigh-on gourmet! She and Johan left us a special newlywed treat in our room, made us feel right at home, and went many "extra miles" to make sure we were comfortable, happy and well informed about local attractions. FYI, their DVD collection is vast and free! We'll keep this B&B in mind for future trips (I'd love to be there when it snows) and we'll recommend it and its hosts to friends and family.

Room Tip: "Heavenly Hideaway": cabin-like decor; king size bed; storage; two open closets; nice kitchenette with "china" and utensils; a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker; two ceiling fans; a special treat each night.

We stayed with Linda and Johan for our 1st wedding anniversary weekend, and it was such a wonderful trip! By the end of our stay, we had become wonderful friends with our lovely hosts, who were so welcoming and warm. Linda was so thoughtful, knowing that it was our anniversary, she had a bottle of champagne and cookies waiting for us in our room upon arrival! Who could ask for anything more? It was such a nice gift, and we were so appreciative. We stayed in the Bird Retweet room, which was so cozy, clean, and charming. Excellent location, excellent hospitality, a terrific stay. Thank you Linda and Johan!

We just returned from a week's stay at Heavenly Valley Lodge to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Linda and Johan were delightful innkeepers. We had read some of the reviews before our stay and they are telling the truth. This is a great B&B! Linda makes an excellent breakfast every morning. We got spoiled. Cookies on your bed when you return from the days' activities. The Happy Hour evenings around the fire-pit were our favorite times. It was so fun to converse and share stories with Linda, Johan and all the other wonderful quests we met. The location of HVL is excellent. Some of the best restaurants in Tahoe are within walking distance. Linda and Johan gave us several ideas of activities and places to eat. We were happy with everything they suggested. Johan even printed out maps and driving instructions. We will definitely be returning to Heavenly Valley Lodge!

Room Tip: All the rooms are decorated differently. Take a look at their website.
