“Hit the spot.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013 via mobile

We needed a tasty dinner. Atmosphere here ok but not super inside - somewhat cafe like - but they had elements of greatness. Waitress spot on and responsive. She got a bit busy as night went on but that was fine. Decent wine. Mezze platter big with good selection - surprisingly never had better Dolmas. Lentil soup great but too salty...cook, please just reduce the salt and all good! Greek salad spot on. We didn't have entrees but enjoyed some decent Greek wine. Will be back for me. It's nice. It's local. It's busy.

“A sad Monday night”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

Monday night is not a good night to find a place to eat in South Lake Tahoe.
Our first choice was closed. So this was our plan B .
I cannot believe the reviews : we just had bad, incompetent service and bad food.
We shared our miseries with the people at the next table who were experiencing the same thing. At least we had a fun conversation. Good company but not good food.
First no one came to take our orders and then the people who came ten minutes after us were waited on first .Later we had to ask for forks .
My lentils soup was good but my husband spanokopita was poorly reheated, the inside was cold .
Then came a very tired moussaka which had been in a refrigerator too long. The potatoes tasted like reheated potatoes and were barely warm.
It must have been the chef night out and the poor staff reheated the leftovers from the week end at least that is the way it felt.

“Great food, great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013 via mobile

Enjoyed eating here so much on our visit to Tahoe that we plan a return visit before we leave. We had dinner on a Sunday night. Ordered tatziki appetizer, chicken with spinach and feta, and moussaka. All great. Entrees were served with saffron rice and tabbouleh. Took home enough for another meal! Ordered baklava for dessert and just had a taste and took home the rest of that as well. If you like Greek food, this is the best we've had since we left the East Coast a year ago, where we ate at Baltimore's Greektown.

“Used to be better value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

We have been going regularly to Artemis for a few years. This year we returned for our favorite meals; but noticed reduction in entrée sizes and some change in taste. Service was as good or better than before as was cleanliness. Food quality was generally very good, but value offered has been reduced enough that we would only return for light lunch, and do dinner somewhere else.

“Great experience!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

When you eat in a restaurant with four adults and four kids (aged 8 and under) you don't always have a good time. In this cae we had a wonderful experience. Artemis was friendly, patient, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended!
