This home is gorgeous and close (driving distance) to everything there is to do in S. Lake Tahoe. While there, we biked, water skied, boated, horseback rode, hiked, white water rafted, went to the beach, kayaked, paddle boarded, dined and enjoyed eating in, instead of at restaurants. The kitchen was nice, but you do still need to bring your spices if you want to cook. (The electric mixer was broken too.) Our extended family joined us and we enjoyed our time spent together here. The kids enjoyed the jacuzzi while we adults would sit on the balcony with our glasses of wine, soaking up the woodsy setting and the sound of the songbirds. Our only complaints were that there is no air conditioning (which made the hot nights miserable) and the bathroom fixtures need replacing (The handle to one bath came off, making it impossible to turn off the water without pliers! And the other bathtub drain clogged and filled with water. The shower heads were poor too.) and the drier wouldn't dry clothes properly. Some mini-blinds were also broken. And there weren't adequate outside trash cans.) I know that there were guests who reserved the property back to back with us, so perhaps the prop manager didn't have time to address these issues quickly enough. Contrary to the write up, this property does not back to the woods, but does have many pine trees and critters (We saw a coyote run by and were warned about bears.) The rear yard is sloped with no fence and is shared with the neighbors in back. It is still pretty though. 90% of us left with a horrible stomach virus. We are not sure whether we got from the home. Hopefully, not, because it's a lovely place to stay.
