We stayed for one night on our way from Millau to Normandy. Our room was the Pavillion which is an annexe in the garden. Newly converted with nice facilities and very quiet. Incidentally this room is equipped for wheelchair users, and there is a lift to the main building's ground floor. We didn't need to use these facilities, so you would need to check.
The setting is classic French with gardens around an impressive house - and a classic Citroen and Rover outside. The weather wasn't good enough when we were there, but sunbathing outside our room and breakfast on the terrace looked inviting.
We found the quality of the food excellent, there is a simplicity, but there aren't many tables, and I would rather have fresh ingredients well prepared and presented rather than a large menu choice. Victor is a proper chef using what's fresh to make amazing food (I'm thinking of the soufflé we had for desert). All in all it was one of the best dining experiences we had on our trip.More
