Stayed 1 night in early November, made very welcome. The room was very comfortable, well appointed spacious quiet and spotlessly clean. Lovely log fires and atmospheric public/ private guest rooms. Breakfast was among the best with locally sourced food. dinner was also excellent and very good value. Worth a special trip to stay here and enjoy a lovely part of South Wales

We stayed here on our annual biking weekend. In late July. From the moment we arrived Roy and Hilary could not have made us more welcome. Roy even supplied me with a bucket of soapy water to wash the flie of our windshields. The rooms were olde worlde and so roomy and comfortable. With nice modern en suite bathrooms. Just the job after a days biking. The food was !st class and just wish we could have stayed longer and work our way through the whole menu. I will most definitely book back in if I ever get a chance to visit South Wales again.

As a small group tour operator this is exactly the kind of accommodation we look for. Staying in a 500 year old coaching inn is always a thrill for me. I love architecture and I love the quirkiness that is to be expecting in a building of this age. Roy and Judith were the perfect hosts and could not do enough for us! We felt like long lost family members who were being welcomed back home! Dinner was a real treat! Thank you for a wonderful stay and I can't wait to come back!

Roy and Judith took us in on extremely short notice, an emergency situation occasioned by our original booking at a local Hay hotel, which was too dirty and smelly to occupy. Roy and Judith not only provided a clean, lovely room, wonderful meals, a serene, quiet setting - but they also lifted our spirits with lively, interesting conversation, cossetted us with pots of soul-refreshing tea and coffee, spoiled us with fantastic Welsh cakes, and educated us concerning the history of the Three Cocks Inn and surrounding area of Wales. It's no exaggeration to say that Roy and Judith treat guests like part of their family. Don't miss it!! +++ James & Janice Mink South Beloit, Illinois, USA

We visited before Christmas and I wrote a positive lengthy review and Iam pleased to say that we have just returned and had another great time and feel like family returning.Judith and Roy really do know how to look after and spoil their guests, the breakfasts are wholesome and hearty, the beds comfy and luxurious and they will adapt their plans around you if it is 'house keeping 'day.
Th purpose of our visits are for me to visit ageing family so by the evening my husband as had enough of this ,so he enjoys his time sitting in the bar with Roy putting 'the world to rights'!We will definitely be back at Christmas time and maybe earlier!
