Our first visit to woodhouse farm and not too sure whether to go back. The place does have its pros and cons though.
We arrived on the friday afternoon and was taken to our pitch which we were given a choice of two, but we decided to settle for the first choice which was close by to the toilet block. Glad we did though because once we were settled we realised what a lovely pitch it was possibly one of the better ones on the whole site.
well kept site clean and tidy the childrens play areas were great for the kids. The toilet block and i say THE toilet block ( for the size of the site more are needed) was ok but could have been better. In my opinion could have been cleaned a bit more often, for the amount of people using them there was always toilet tissue on the floor and showers were always dirty. obviously the people using them could help by keeping them clean but unfortunatly they dont. What did annoy me was that the decided to close the ladies at 10 am on the day we were leaving and i needed a shower etc before i left i had to clean my teeth in the spider ridden toilet sink next to reception (not very hygenic at all ) which there was a queue for being the only toilet on the site for everyone. My partner went in to the mens one day and had to clean his own toilet before he could use it then went to have a shower the only cubicle that was free had a full babies nappy left in it .
We decided to eat in the Barn pub and reserant so we reserved a table for 8 pm (that was the first available) when we ordered we were told a half hour wait because the management serve walk ins before people with reservations which in my eyes is not really on. anyway the food took over an hour to come not really happy as the kids were shattered. food was ok though.
Apart from that a nice place for a family break.
