Food in South Africa, and particularly the Cape, is invariably good and reasonably priced. Live Bait has the added attraction of a stunning setting where the waves of False Bay actually crash against the windows (reinforced, I hope) right next to your table. We sat entranced, watching seals and seagulls feeding in the churning sea a few feet away. The food is good and so is the service. It's right in the little Kalk Bay harbourand there's parking near the door. There are three restaurants in the one building, and the popular Kalkiies fish and chip shop in the carpark. Watch fisherwomen clean the day's catch while seals bask on the wharf alongside. Magic.
