We had never before experienced such gracious hospitality and sheer perfection in a B&B. John and Shelagh were amazingly generous in thinking of everything possible to make our stay a memorable one. The outstanding breakfast menu will be remembered for a long time, as will their lovely large beautiful home and garden. Their 5 star Gold rating was justly deserved. We booked to stay three nights, and they recommended so many fabulous nearby places that we ended up staying six nights with them, and shall definitely return. Their close proximity to the gardens of Great Dixter and Sissinghurst makes Fairacres a treasure. We couldn't thank them enough.

John and Shelagh are truly wonderful hosts. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with open arms and big smiles. The rooms were beautiful and the hospitality was brilliant. Every need was catered for from a delicious breakfast to port and sherry in the rooms on arrival. The little touches make all the difference and we were treated to a fantastic time.

A wonderful B&b with great hosts, heavenly breakfast and lots of love to tasteful and welcoming details in the room. John and Shelagh are enormously helpful and gave us great tips to explore the surrounding.

Fairacres is a blessing and a wonder in a world whereby medicority is accepted by so many much too often.

I can not stress enough how lovely our stay was.

Everything sparkled including our host and hostess and we felt cosseted and relaxed throughout our stay.

Excellent food, spotless accommodation, varied choice of breakfast cooked to order, informative hosts, plenty of leaflets of places to visit, lovely interior decor, warm (visited in October and it was rainy and wet outside).

Hosts were really helpful when we had a dilemma with an injured tawny owl that needed care and shelter at a RSPCA Centre for wildlife.

Cant wait to revisit and will most certainly do so.

Room Tip: If you want comfy armchairs then the Magnolia room fits the bill buts thats just my experience as am sure the other two rooms are just as comfy. Having a large bath and an independent shower was fab. Any of the three rooms are luxurious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The little extras replenished daily such as port and sherry in mini decanters and mints and luxury chocolates add to the wonderful ambience that Jon and Shelagh seemingly effortlessly provide.

If Carlesburgh made guest houses they would have chosen this one for their mold! Probably the finest example of British guest houses and certainly well worth a visit. John and Shelagh are perfect hosts and will impress anyone with their willingness to help. Best breakfast menu in the UK and meals are not cooked until your order has been taken. Spotless and spacious rooms. Go there!
