We just spent a lovely few days at this hotel room was large overlooking gardens.
Food was great, staff very friendly. It's has a pool, and small spa had 2 treatments very
good indeed. Try the hot stones and delux facial. Our little westie also had a great time as
they had a nice garden to walk around.

Room Tip: The garden rooms are perfect if you have a dog as they have French doors direct to garden. We had a suite above which was very nice huge bathroom and sep lounge

We wanted to try a typical hotel in the British countryside, and spend a quiet weekend there with our kids. This one fits the bill: old, non standardised, somehow quite out of sync with what is offered to regular travellers in today's world...but ultimately very pleasant thanks to its very nice garden, good restaurant, lovely pool, and accommodating staff perfectly aware that their place is not perfect but equally willing to do extras to make one enjoy one's stay. Very good weekend!

We have just come home from a one night stay here. We went in a groupon deal which was excellent value. The hotel in places needs a bit of TLC and our bathroom could have been cleaner but the amazing staff outweighed the apparent speed clean that let down our bathroom. We had a room with a garden view which was very quiet and meant a lovely nights sleep. The spa area is really nice with a lovely pool and jacuzzi area. Shame the saunas are separate... Not ideal for a romantic weekend! Please go and try this place out as the staff deserve it!

“Terrible- filthy bathroom and worst place I've stayed in in a while”
27 May 2013 Exonia
From the exterior we thought we had made a good decision.... when we entered the hotel we knew it was a big mistake, when we arrived at our room we knew we couldnt stay!!!! Bathroom was dirty and tired, the room was cold and musty and looked like it had not been decorated since the 70s so not sure where they got the photo of the room from on their website. Reception staff were the only saving grace and even they were embarrassed. We went on a Groupon deal and really wished we hadnt bothered especially when the afternoon tea was presented to us which was actually inedible, dispite the second attempt which was a reheated version of the first. In fact it was so bad we checked out before even spending tge night there and checked into The George in Rye which was fantastic by comparison.
Avoid Flackey Ash at all costs and demand a refund from Groupon!!!
