We love to bring friends and family to San Leo when visiting Italy. The landscape is amazing the the tour of the fortress is excellent. It is a steep walk though usually possible to get transport for €1. Very well kept and there are interesting displays though I don’t really need to see the torture devices too often!

We visited the fortres and the small village, San Leo. The village is small, but very pretty and has a friendly atmosphere. The view is breathtaking, mostly from the fortress. The entry is 9 euro and it is very interesting exhibition.

We were staying nearby on the Italian Riviera and had a trip to San Leo. The weather wasn't that great so we headed off to the fort. It cost about 10 euros each to get in, but there was lots to see. There were dungeons to look around and a room full of guns, from flintlocks to machine guns from the second world war. Well worth a visit.

It’s a must see! You learn a lot about history of the region! Rooms, cells, torture tools,... and architecture of the place!

We drove from Rimini . Parked in the town and walked up to the fort. We have a young baby and managed ok with the few sets of stairs and the baby buggy. Most of the hill has concrete paths. I found the museum very informative and even the sections that had no English translation were well presented and interesting. All in all a lovely outing with plenty of panorama views. A very quaint town also .
