This delightful rustic restaurant is located on the edge of the old town, just before the sign-posted viewing point.
The restaurant is a family-run business and offers an extensive fixed menu as well as daily specials and good pizza (evenings only).
All of the pastas and particularly the minestrone & vegetable soups are home made and excellent.
The main course meats are of excellent quality and the fillet steak on croute with rose pepper sauce is superb. Vegetables are fresh and seasonal.
If after the above you still have some room there is a small selection of superb sweets or alternatively a plate of mixed small cakes (ciambella) made in house.
The house wine is selected from a quality local supplier, but there is also an extensive list of more expensive DOC wines.
Service is attentive and friendly without being intrusive while the bill will not require a bank loan.
Typical two courses for two with wine, water and coffee for about €40 makes this out of the way establishment worth the journey.
