“Wonderful!”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

This facility was one of the highlights of our month vacation in Panama. It is very charming and lovely built into a hill over looking the ocean. The owners and managers are the best. Everything was exceptional - room, cleanliness, food, service, pool, grounds and a great boat trip to the surrounding islands. It was very exciting. I have and would recommend the Seagullcove Lodge to everyone that wants to be treated like royality.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Kingfisher room and loved the view. I can't say I would have liked another room...

My husband and I stumbled into this lovely little hideaway by accident. We needed a place to rest for one evening en route to Panama City, and ended up staying three! It was so relaxing and comfortable that we couldn't leave. The owners, property managers, and staff are all top-notch and really know how to make a person feel at home. We got to go kayaking and sailing, which we highly recommend if you get a chance! Gorgeous sunsets, great food, fabulously quiet and serene, clean as can be. As lodge owners in Costa Rica, we are picky about places we would recommend to our guests. Seagull Cove Lodge rose to the top of our recommendation list!

Room Tip: Any of them are great - you will need to go up and down stairs, so be prepared

A wonderful place to get away from the world. Gorgeous scenery and the staff are just superb.
Food is awesome and a great value. Awesome spot for kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, and just plain stopping the whirlwind of life.

We stayed at this small inn for a couple of nights, including New Year's eve. The main house was great with it's fabulous views of the sea and islands and the food was great. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. I thought this was one of the best small inns I have stayed at.

The rooms were small cabinas arranged on a hill going down to the ocean and were very private. The beds were comfortable and the views from each room were great. I would give this inn a rating of five except for a couple of deficiencies in the rooms - they need black-out curtains of better quality and a modern TV.

Staying at Seagull Cove was a great experience and I will definately stay there again.

We spent one week at Seagullcove Lodge in early November, enjoyed every minute of it. The car ride from David airport to Boca Chica seemed a bit long at the beginning, then as soon as we arrived, we knew that was well worth it! The lodge is in a secluded area, on the verge of Pacific ocean, the garden, the rooms and the oceanfront setting are seamlessly blended together. Quiet and Spectacular! The individual bungalow rooms are perched high, with great views. Rooms are well equipped, I really liked the bedding :) A short boat ride out takes you to the National Marine Park. We were able to do a lot of activities (fishing, kayak, snorkeling, sailing, etc) as well as spend time gazing at the amazing Pacific and the starry sky. General managers Avril and Derick are the nicest people, and if you do spend some time with them, they sure have some great stories to tell. Cheerful Marcello mixed up some of the best cocktails and fruit smoothies. I particularly loved the tiki bar on the water. Oceanview restaurant at the Lodge was also a pleasant surprise. If you would like variety, there were a number of thoughtfully put together boutique resorts nearby for us to spend happy hours and an occasional meal.

We also took a day trip to Bocas Del Toro to see the Caribbean side, very different. We actually liked the pacific side better - grander view, quieter and more up-scale.

Note there is no accessible beach on the property, but there are a couple nice islands with great quiet beach and snorkeling spots a short boat ride away.

I plan to bring my teenage daughter back again during Spring Break in 2013!

Room Tip: Higher rooms have the best view.

We spend two days in this boutique lodge on our way back from bocas del toro to panama city. I think it was the best decision we made on our two weeks trip through Panama to spend our last days in this lovely place.
We were welcomed with open arms and had a great time.
The dining was a delectation.
It's one of these rare places, where you feel completely comfortable and relaxed and enjoy every second you spend there. Just Perfect!

When you have over 60 excellent reviews I'm not sure what else I can add. We ended our vacation at the Seagull and what a pleasant ending it was. Secluded, warm and friendly with English speaking staff. Views to die for and lots of beaches to explore via kayak. Monkey's , dolphins, whales , oh my. Thanks for the great times Avril, Derek and Marcello.
