This is great place to enjoy top of Europe, but it will be more fascinating to go outside to see and feel the snow. This observatory place is part of Jungfraujoch that we can reach by train.

Only go if the weather is good. The train ride up from Kleine Scheidegg is mostly inside the mountain, but once you are outside, wow. We had 1/2 price Swiss rail passes so the price was almost reasonable. While crowded, you can get out and hike on the designated paths on the glacier and get away from the crowds. Depending on where you are staying, look to spend a little time soaking in the view from Kleine Scheidegg and from Wengen as well. We stayed in Murren and made the trip over for an enjoyable day. It is easy to buy tickets at any train station in Switzerland, their train service is amazing. You don't need to pay extra for a guided trip, it is that easy to get around Switzerland by rail.

Definitely a visit is warranted if you are visiting Zurich or Interlacken. The observatory is worth seeing and the view of the Alps is spell binding.

Jongfraujoch is a must see when visiting Switzerland. The excursion is quite pricey. We opted for the full day excursion from 9am to 7pm. This was just enough time.

We met our tour guide inside the Starbucks just across the road from Lucerne train station. Starbucks is right next to McDonald's. Our tour guide and all the information she provided was definitely one of the highlights of the tour.

The first part of the journey is an hour bus drive from Lucerne to Interlaken. The scenary is breathtaking.

From what we could see there was nothing much to do in Interlaken but shop at very expensive shops.

Another short drive to a train station where two trains took us up to the Top of Europe.

We then had 2hr30 to explore the Sphinx observatory, the glacier palace and shops. It all did not look as great as the pictures. All areas except the glacier palace were crowded and people were pushy.

The ala carte restaurant charged around €45 for a 3 course meal, while the other two restaurants only had standing room.

The glacier palace is much smaller than I expected, but fascinating nonetheless at -3° many people did not stay too long.

The views are spectacular, but my suggestion would be that there be a limit on the number of people allowed up at a time.

A note on what to wear: the glacier is cold so wear a proper jacket. The Restaurant areas and shops are however hot so layer appropriately.

I am writing second review in three days just because i have to say few words about bartender Andreas. It is very hard to see such a devoted professional who does his job with visible love and passion. Enough said. This is best place for food I Santorini. All stuff is great, great, great. No words more.

We had blue skies and sunshine when we visited in late August. The views of the Alps and the glacier are stunning. It really is breathtaking.

We loved our trip to the Jungfraujoch and enjoyed every minute.

It is quite expensive but worth every penny. We were waiting for good weather forecast and took the first train in the morning. Both decisions are essentially good and i would do it again.

We went here by train from Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch in an optional trip in out tour trough Swiss. We were lucky to have booked one of the early trains, as the weather was sunny in the morning, but with a forecast for rain later. You have to book in advance the train tickets as there are a lot of tourist. also, to get at Jungfraujoch, you have to change the train at Kleine Scheidegg. the trip by train takes around 1 hour in total, but depends also of the train connection. Once there, you enter in inside and can take a tour trough various point of attraction, some of them taking you outside. If you want to go all the tour, is better to reserve 2 hours, just to know for your return train reservation. I have to confess, the weather makes the experience more or less pleasant, depending you what or how far you can see from the outside to the mountains. even we were there in August, and had a nice weather, temperature was 2 dgr Celsius and thre was snow so be careful what you wear.
