“An excellent four day break”

Pleasant welcome on arrival from Jackie and Graham, also Tess and Kip (the dogs). Everything about Coed Cae was excellent, attention had been given to every detail - even a torch on the keyring. The attention to ourselves was faultless. An evening meal was ordered which turned out to be superb along with the porridge and cooked breakfasts. Coed Cae B&B is in a very pleasant setting run by a couple with a very pleasant and enthusiastic attitude.

Thank you very much Jackie and Graham, and also to the dogs for the plays.

Jacky and Graham deserve a gold medal in my opinion. From the moment you arrive the welcome is wonderfully warm. Never overwhelming but you feel instantly at home and no request is too much trouble. Rooms very comfortable and well-equipped, and full of character. Food excellent! local and sustainable, super quality, deliciously cooked and beautifully presented. Really good breakfasts (I agree with other reviewers about the excellent porridge!) plus I shared a super 3-course evening meal with other guests one night; and also Jacky supplied a couple of very good packed meals. Graham and Jacky provide loads of information about what to do and see locally, and advice (and encouragement!) for walkers and mountain bikers. Location is so beautiful and peaceful, and surprisingly easy to get to by public transport. Definitely one to revisit.

We found the hosts to be very freindly and welcoming, including the 2 lovely dogs.
It was very comfortable, breakfast was great. An excellent base from which to venture out to nearby Barmouth, walks, lakes, mountains and waterfalls.Which was ideal as we are both keen photographers. Can't wait to visit again, but perhaps for a longer stay next time.

This was our second visit to Coed Cae and it wont be our last. This really is a wonderful place to stay. The hosts, Graham and jackie are welcoming and very knowledgable about the area. Nothing is too much trouble for them, Jackie greets you with a pot of tea and coffee and weather permitting you can drink it looking out from their lovely garden to the estuary. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean and the upstairs lounge is a great place to have breakfast and dinner whilst chatting to new friends. Breakfast was as good as ever with excellent porridge and homemade marmalade and jam. We ate an evening meal on 2 occasions and it was good with local produce. The house is set in a beautiful quiet spot but nearby there are lots to do and near to Barmouth and Dolgellau. Dont take my word though please go and see for yourself how good this is.You will not be disappointed.

The temptation when finding a gem is to keep it to yourself. However, Coed Cae B&B is a treasure that I want to share !! Set in beautiful surroundings and stunning scenery this excellent B&B offers a friendly and most informative welcome from Jacky and Graham, comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms, and a first class breakfast. Also giving us a warm welcome were the two adorable dogs, Kip and Tess, real characters who the boys absolutely loved and enjoyed playing with in the spacious garden overlooking the estuary. We opted for the 2 course evening meal on the first night which was so good that we decided to eat in every night. Our room was the good sized family room with en-suite. There was one double and two single beds which were very comfortable. A television with DVD player came in handy for the boys when they were not running around in the garden with Kip and Tess. Not being familiar with the area we asked Jacky for some tips on where to visit and thanks to her we had a couple of great days out. If you are looking for somewhere to base yourself for first class mountain biking or relaxing cycling, strenuous walks or relaxing walks through stunning welsh scenery or just a break then look no further than Coed Cae.

Comfortable, fun and homely, the words of my 11 year old following our visit to Coed Cae. We only stayed for one night following our walk up Cadair but wished we could have stayed longer. Nothing was too much trouble, our family room was fantastic, and the boys loved playing with the dogs! Jacky and Grahams breakfast was spot on and all of the homemade food was a lovely touch - granola, porridge and scrambled eggs get our recommendation. Already planning our next visit!

We have been to Coed Cae three times now and we enjoyed each one of our stays. All the rooms are very nice and you get a homemade breakfast of good quality every morning. Jacky and Graham are always very friendly and the dogs will greet you with enthusiasm that is hard to match. The area is one of the most beautiful places in the UK and you will get all the advice you need about it from the owners with no problem. All in all it is now one of our favourite places for weekend getaways.
