“Outstanding Food & Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012

My sister and her husband treated me to this wonderful cafe. When I lived in the area many years ago, this wasn't here! I highly recommend eating here. The food is wonderful and well worth the wait. It is a small cafe by some standards, but it definitely has the old English cottage feel inside and out.

The staff are so wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Since my sister and her husband frequent this cafe, they already know what they will be eating and drinking.

If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by this cafe for breakfast. But be prepared to wait, even slightly.

“Busy place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

Plan to wait a little bit here, but it is worth it. Very good breakfast, fresh eggs( you can tell by how yellow the yokes are). you get a good amount of food. The restaurant is small, so it can get a bit loud . I like sitting at the bar and watching the food being made. They make their own Jams, so make sure to ask for them.

“My favorite spot for breakfast!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

The food, service, prices and portions are all fantastic here! For those who like a lot of space, this might not be the best bet for you as it is exactly what they say, a cottage. There is always a line and it is always well worth the wait! Not to mention they seem to manage to keep things moving very well without ever making you feel rushed while you're dining.

I highly recommend the eggs benedict and my fiance' likes their "Belgium Waffle". They cook everything to perfection and have never once gotten our order wrong. This is the place whether it's just you or you want to take friends!

This was a serendipitous find and what a gem! The staff runs like a well oiled machine; they are older, not a bunch of teenagers/early 20-somethings with the 'whatever' attitude. The servers were on top of everything constantly working as a team; the kitchen staff was incredible to watch (we sat at the counter). They had eachother's backs and knew what needed doing to get each order out on time, together - it was so cool to watch. It was obvious that each of the staff were invested in their work there and making sure the customers were treated well. The wait staff was very friendly, even when they had a long list of people waiting for tables. (we were there on a Sunday morning which was pretty busy) The vibe was really pleasant, and you could tell the staff respected eachother and their abilities to do their job. The food was great, coffee really good, and the ambiance comfortably quirky. Loved it!!!

“Perfect diversion from Costco”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012

This is my little sanity escape before subjecting my patience to Costco (Right by E bound Sprague exit). The decor is adorable, staff friendly & efficient, and food is comfort food perfectly done (out quickly too). Nice little eating counter if you are by yourself. I wish they would open for dinner so I could relax after an evening Costco trip over a glass of wine. Spokane needs a decent German restaurant (even if it was only Fri/Sat night). It would be a real hit! Thanks for the great service!
