“Perfect for us!”

We stayed at this property for 3 nights with 2 rooms. Super comfy beds, nice decor and very quiet. Our rooms were side by side and on the bottom floor. We could walk to the pool from our patio. This felt more like a resort then just a hotel.
We did not eat at the hotel, but we did enjoy the bar.
The hotel is next to Wal-mart and a large strip mall. Its easy to walk to in a few minutes. Its also super easy to access the hotel from I-90.
We spent time sitting on our patio and at the pool and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. We will definitly stay again and recomend to others.

Stayed here 2 nights with 5 of my friends on our yearly golf junket. Having read mixed reviews I had some reservations but figured we'd tough it out if it was bad. Well I must say we were VERY pleasantly surprised.
Although most of the hotel was dated (apparently they are in the process of updating now) everyone that worked in the hotel was very pleasant and accomodating to the point of disbelief.
The restaurant /bar was the most updated area of the hotel and we spent our breakfasts there and also our 19th hole in the bar both nights (plasmas on the wall to catch up on sports news were a nice touch).
The rooms were spacious enough and the pool area just right, everything was clean and exceeded our expectations.
It's a sprawling complex and just make sure you make the right turns in the hallways but I can only imagine how great it is going to be when they get done with the updating, anything like the restaurant and its going to be a huge hit.

We used to stay here when it was the Marriott & always looked forward to the "to die for" warm chocolate chip cookies when we checked in.
Plus it is right in the middle of almost any shopping you might want from Wal-Mart to Ross, to the mall right across the freeway.
This time we noticed that the room we stayed in was showing a LOT of wear & tear.
We wondered if that is perhaps why the Marriott sold it off.
They have a posting saying they are doing a complete renovation that was dated March. There was no obvious signs of renovation in August.
We have always like this hotel. If they truly do renovate, we would be more than happy to stay here again.

Hotel is in a good location right off the freeway near Spokane Valley Mall. South of the hotel is Sprague Ave. which houses many business/retail locations. Hotel was under renovation while I stayed there for three nights in April 2004, pool was closed. Rooms were clean, decor was a bit dated and one of the chairs in my room was stained. Rooms are big, many have balconies or open out to the parking lot which is convenient if you bring your auto as you can park close to your room.

Hotel seemed a bit disorganized, they would not allow a late checkout and even sent another guest to my room with a key PRIOR to checkout time. Not good. Rooms had an iron and iron board, along with a coffee maker but no refrigerator or mini bar.

Of course, Wal Mart is less than a block away if you need anything. I would stay here again possibly, but would look around elsewhere first and only at a great rate.

I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. It was formerly the Doubletree Hotel Spokane Valley. The hotel is older but going through some wonderful remodeling changes. They informed me of the business class amenties that were added (wireless high speed Internet) and other items they were adding to their guest rooms (ergonomic chairs, fridge, microwaves, suites, new tile and furniture etc) for their remodel. The hotel is also under-going extensive remodeling changes to their restaurant/lounge and other areas. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly over the years. I always have a great experience when I stay here for my business meetings in Spokane. I am glad to see the hotel start to match their overall appearance with their exceptional service standards.

This place is OK, but don't expect anything fancy. It is the least-nice Doubletree I've stayed at since they converted many/most of their subpar properties back to Red Lion. It's kind of like a 70s-era Holiday Inn that has not been renovated all that much. The furniture in my room was probably 25 years old. Also I was not impressed with the quality of housekeeping; there was a lot of dust visible around the air conditioning vent, and they failed to clean my room one day. It's not horrible, but it's tired, and should either be massively renovated or switched to a lower-end flag.
