“Comfortable, good location”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

This was our first stay at the Oxford Suites in Spokane Valley and we will definitely return and recommend it to our friends. Our reserved room wasn't ready by 3:45, so we settled for a room on a lower floor. Nice view of the river, comfortable bed, great breakfast and the free drinks were a nice added amenitie. The staff are friendly and helpful. I liked that it was close to the Valley Mall and not far from other shopping, just across the highway. The only thing I didn't like was the citrus scented shower gel, and shampoo.

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor if you want to avoid having children running around above you.

We've stayed in a number of hotels of this genre this summer. This Oxford suite was among the better. Our room was not ready at 2:45 pm for a 3:00 check in but the front desk ask for a room ASAP and we were soon unpacking.

Room had a nice view of the river and centennial trail. It was well appointed with microwave, fridg,
Panel,tv, free wifi and coffee maker. Bed and bedding pleased my picky wife. Sofa and sitting area. The room was reasonably quiet. Elevators fast.

Our room included 4 drinks in the bar and a pretty decent breakfast the next am. They had a server dishing up freshly made pancakes, eggs, potatoes and sausages.

The Spokane valley mall is across the street and the hotel is just off the freeway exit.

Room Tip: River view is nice. Breakfast is popular, get there early.

We stayed during the Labour Day long weekend - therefore everything was busy. That said the hotels very very clean. I am not sure about the older comments on here, things may have been renovated recently (our first stay) however we found everything new, clean and well maintained.
Breakfast is good - great food however the lens are quite long. (Buffet style but the hot food is served by staff)....it is a bit of a tight space for the number of guests.
Pool is great for kids.
Our only negative feedback would be that our room was not made up at 5pm when we returned from shopping. The maid came shortly after we returned and asked "do you need your room cleaned?"...thought that was a bit of an odd question however she did come in to freshen towels, etc. Thinking this is a one-off perhaps because they were busy?
Over all - great hotel with spacious rooms & decent service.

Our brief one night stay at the Oxford Suites Spokane Valley was very relaxing and convenient. While there was quite a large line to checkin which was not the most efficient. Just across the road from the Spokane Valley Mall, we were able to get lots of shopping in as well as have a large selection of restaurants (off-site).

The restaurant/breakfast bar in the hotel was excellent. We enjoyed our complimentary drinks, as well as shared delicious appies. Our server, Heidi, was excellent providing fast and welcoming service. The breakfast is always delicious and fresh.

While the room was clean, we have noticed a few changes since previous stays. In tune with the hotels environmentally friendly scheme, they have replaced small, single use amenities with large bottles with pumps. We enjoyed this, however, it also brought the elimination of hand lotion and a soap bar which we see as major downsides. As we were a family of 4 staying in a 1 King bed room, we had to make the sofa bed up, as well as order the additional towels and pillows we required. It would be nice if this hotel provided more double bed rooms.

For only $120 a night, this was a good, affordable stay.

My family and I always stay at the Oxford Suites Spokane Valley for their nicer suites, good breakfast and affordability. Their staff has always been very helpful, prompt and friendly. I have never had a problem with the rooms, and we stay here at least 4-5 times per year. The only things I would improve are: The temperature of the pool is always FREEZING, and in the late summer when you are getting Silverwood families and back to school shoppers from out of town I would serve breakfast a little bit later in the morning. Other than that, this has always been a great place to stay for us thanks!!

P.S. come on Oxford, you still have smoking rooms? They must only be on the 5th floor, but the hallway by the elevators was saturated with smoke - it was gross.....

The hotel overall is wonderful. The only thing is the beds were too hard for my taste. The breakfast buffet was very good but we had to be there before 8 am or it got very crowded. Overall the stay was very nice and would probably stay here again.

Room Tip: Make sure you dont get a room next to the pool or ice machine

My sister and I, along with spouses and 4 children (8 of us in total) booked the family suite (232) and stayed for 3 nights over the August 17th weekend. We had enough sleeping room for all of us. The in-room fridge was quite roomy which worked great. The suite had two queens, a sofa and a separate bedroom with a king bed. The bathroom is small, and there is only one, but the sink is in the main part of the room so that is handy. There are also bathrooms available by the lounge/restaurant and the pool, so we made do. The complimentary breakfast was among one of the best any we've had. The reception drinks were also appreciated. The kids loved the pool and being close to the mall and restaurants was very handy. We got a special that included 2 tickets to Silverwood, a beachball and some sunscreen.
