After searching for Da Gemma, the restaurant writer Graham Greene frequented during his 40 years living on and off in Capri, a friendly local informed that the site had changed hands and was now Mamma. It is a beautiful room and from the corner table looking out over the Bay of Naples, one can see why Greene loved the location. Times change though and the 21st century incarnation is Mamma and it is wonderful: Michelin star quality food, service, wine and ambience. One of my best meals ever and I want to return already!
