Samae San is the lovely island close to Sattahip district also nearby Pattaya International Airport. The island owned by Royal Thai Navy that rather strict with the tourist such as..
- 500 tourists is the maximum tourist per day.
- Foreigner do not permission to go alone without Thai friend or local guide.
- No accommodation on the island.
So, there're reasons makes Samae San still be the same for decade and absolutely different when compare with Pattaya.

There is top 10 islands for me to relax. Tourists cannot sleep over night. In the early morning you have to get the queue for buying the boat ticket.
There is some activities as scuba diving, volleyball provided.

A lovely island to visit if you need a day away from the Pattaya madness!
Great snorkeling with many fish, coral and even giant clams . My costs for the day were B 1500 for car hire, B600 for ferry and B100 for snorkeling.
Then just spending money for snacks and drinks.

Samae San has not changed much since i first started to scuba dive there in the early 90's. The islands are owned by the Royal Thai Navy and the do a wonderful job in keeping the islands clean. The water is very clear and at certain times of the year we get up to 20 meter visibility. Its a very remote calm place to go for scuba diving or snorkeling.
