“Fantastic dives, fantastic people”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

I spent 5 days diving and 9 days in the shared room at FDC and they were absolutely terrific in every way. The managers are warm, fun, and professional and speak several languages, including English, Italian, and Spanish. We had a couple of days diving rained out, but the 5 days I did were incredible, and the boat crew were funny and friendly as well. Aside from all the coral and fish I expected in Komodo National Park, FDC also offered a 2-dive day plus trekking on Rinca Island in the National Park to see the dragons. The dive shop has one private room and a shared room with 6 beds at very reasonable rates - nothing fancy, but clean and convenient. The dives would have made it a great time on their own, but making friends with the staff and other divers really made it a top-notch experience both on land and underwater.

“Diving in Flores”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2013

This experience has been one of the most profound, learning, entertaining experiences in our lives. The underwater wonders we saw and experienced at 4 diving sites were ineffable and beyond vocabulary in shape and colour. We saw the epic diversity of the underworld, especially with the help of our dive instructors pointing out the little and the big, the obvious and the camouflaged. The diving centre was magnificent in its people, the accommodation, the diving boats, and equipment arrangement.

The people were especially amazing. Starting with Leo and Andromeda administering our theory exams, all the way to making us feel extremely comfortable in our accommodation. Staying at the accommodation did not cost us anything having done the open water course there. We had a big BBQ, engaged with locals, diving students of all levels, and instructors from this big small world.

Jessica, our diving instructor was a sensational, outgoing, humorous, and the most confident diver. She is immensely experienced, one can sense that in her every move and attitude. She was patient with us, she taught us the skills necessary with absolute ease, she created a source of confidence in us that was tagged with being aware of the diverse diving sites and their variables, including currents, marine life, previous experiences and recommendations. We felt safe yet tagged with an immense sense of adventure. We had a blast!

We even had a problem with our credit cards, they made extra sure we don't worry about it and were extremely patient with us until it got sorted to pay them.

We came in as students and left as friends in amazement.

“Unforgettable diving”

Great diving with this dive center, I never dive before in Komodo and I was a little bit scared for current, they have everything under control, download information of sea current, waves and my dive master from Belgium of France was well prepared he knew where to go and what to do when we found strong current. I would like dive again there. I watched my first Manta.

“Excellent diving and fun diving centre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

We had 2 day trips with dive master Jess, it was magnificent. The trip by boat, even though it is a bit slow, was already half the fun for us due to the nice company of fellow divers and staff. Dive spots are amazing, we saw Manta's, sharks and turtles + zillions of other fish.

The centre also organized a sunset drink and barbecue for its divers and staff, which was great too.
