We walked past and saw the view, and decided to have lunch there. The menu is very limited and not very enticing.
I decided to have the Greek Salad, which came with butter lettuce, chopped onions, tomatoes and cucumbers. With a Dijon dressing that’s more for a Niçoise salad. No olives nor feta. Not a Greek salad.
Ordered a yogurt with fruit salad. It was a lot of fruit (cut watermelon, banana and melon), with about 4 tablespoons of yogurt.
The dive staff took up the last table with the view, and did not even bother to stand up and give guests the table.
Local staff were noisy and rowdy. Singing like it’s a karaoke and talking loudly.
Good if you have been diving with them. But not walk-in for a meal.

We are very sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience while having lunch with us.
We will forward your notes about the food to the kitchen and make sure that we find out what went wrong that day.
To your complaint about the last table with a view, we are sorry you couldn't have the exact table you wanted.
But we have to mention that we combine the restaurant with the dive shop. Our guests who are doing the diving with us are having meetings with the instructors here and the restaurant is also used for us as a workspace.
I am sure if you asked the staff to swap the tables, they would be happy to move.

We had 4 wonderful days with the friendly, profesional, passionate staff of this dive school. Joel, Julia, Ben, Stephan and Kim are superstars. Not only was it a profesional outfit but the atmosphere at the shop was great - dives we always followed by beers and good vibes! The diving we did blew our mind - we will never forget the coral, the mantas and the turtles (all 247449 of them). Book with these guys! :)

First the staff was great at sorting out my certification as there was a mix up with my dive shop back home and another Blue Marlin shop. We had great dives, a great dive master (Doug). The crew was super helpful and took care of us. Nice, fast boat, plenty drinks and snacks provided. No complaints. We will always stick with Blue Marlin 😍

We spent 4 days liveboard on the Ikan Biru with Chris.
This life on board, the dives and the tour on Rinca island to see the Komodo dragon was a dream and adventure.
The crew on board did a incredible great job getting everything done and arranged that we really felt pampered, i.e. the food prepared freshly 4 times a day was delicious. There was no moment where we did miss something and we cannot imagine how to do better.
Chris was a very sympathetic and highly professional, responsible dive guide: everything was explained in detail and he was available for any question like around the clock. Every dive was initiated with a detailed and very helpful briefing.
Me, as the not most experienced diver felt total comfortable and confident doing any dive with Chris. Su, guest assistant, did a great job to guarantee feeling us secure and safe and nicely accompanied.
Chris and Su managed to create a warm social home feeling ambience on board, on land and under water from the first to the last minute.

We've been diving with Blue Marlin for three days in June. We booked all day trips with the speed boat "toby" given that we were told this is the boat for advanced divers only. Everything was organized nicely, equipment was fine (or got changed in no time upon request). Our dive guide Kim, whom we did most of the dives with, took great care of us all the time, thanks :-) Boat crew was also very friendly and helpful.
However, in contrast to what's stated on the website, our boat had always OWD students and AOWD students on board, which kept us from going to more advanced and famous dive sites in the north. We're aware that if there are not enough people it's not economic to use two boats.
However for us, the division in beginners and advanced divers was the decisive factor why we chose this dive center(accepting a higher price) but it didn't happen!

I totally understand your point about the dive sites. We do our best to always separate the groups according to the level of the divers, that's why we have different boats. During the low season, it is more difficult to maintain it because we cannot run out two boats with 3 divers each on them. There are also a lot of amazing dive sites accessible for OW and AOW, and we tried to bring you there. We apologies about it, and in low season we will be more clear with divers who signed on Toby, that we will probably combine our two boats.
Regarding your last day where we didn't went to the North, this is not a reason of diver level (there is no problem to go North with AOWC, or with OW we do different dive sites in the North). It is because, you were only 4 ''official divers'' on the boat (the others were instructors, Dive Master and IDC), which is not enough to go to the North of the park as it is more far away. It's really not for level factor. We also tried on this day went to some advanced dive sites (Siaba Kecil, Tatawa kecil ..).
In any case, we hope that you enjoyed your time with us. It was a pleasure for us to have you staying and diving here :)
