Most restaurants catering to the tourists in Labuan Bajo have great views over the harbour and Treetop is not the exception. Go upstairs to catch the breeze, one side check out the stunning sunset, the other side check out what is happening in the main street.
We had lunch here two days in a row, a Friday where the food was pretty good and the Saturday where the same dish was crap, so I'm assuming the cook has the weekends off!
Service is not really offered, you have to ask for a menu, ask for the drinks list, ask for your order to be taken but this is all done quite cheerily once you do ask which we find is fairly typical for this part of the world.
There are other more expensive options around but we found Treetop unpretentious, relaxing and atmospheric, and despite its short comings compared to western standards we thought it a great place to while away a couple of hot afternoon hours. Became our Labuan Bajo favorite.
