“Perfect B&B”
Reviewed April 25, 2011

I would like to add to all the reviews above that the family room is really spacious. Best B&B ever. Wonderful view, great garden, nice hosts, new and clean facilities. Highly recommended.

Peace, perfect peace. We occupied both rooms for two nights and congratulated ourselves on our choice of B&B. Attentive hosts, immaculate en-suite rooms, comfortable beds and a superb Scottish breakfast. Sitting in the lounge in the evening with a glass of malt whisky, looking at the view across Loch Duich through the picture windows was heaven. Thank you Janet and Malcolm.

The picture perfect accommodations near Skye. Wonderful hospitality. Perfect location. The views from the common room are not to be believed. We stayed in the double on the driveway side of the house. The bathroom has a shower AND a full soaking tub. Both the bathroom and bedroom have large windows looking out the side (not directly on the Loch, but very nice views indeed). We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Stunning Views, Bright, Comfortable & Spotlessly Clean rooms, Superb breakfast and friendly welcoming hosts - you simply cannot ask for more. We stayed here with family for two nights and cannot recommend Grianan House enough. Its location overlooking Loch Duich is superb - and guests can make the most of this view, whatever the weather from the conservatory at the front of the house. Janet could not have been more welcoming or helpful and was able to give us lots of help on walks in the area and places to eat. Breakfast was just fantastic - homemade jams, homemade potato scones and great coffee!

I stayed here with my partner for a weekend away. Firstly, the location is breathtaking: views over the loch and the Seven Sisters. A really incredible spot. The huge conservatory is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the view, whatever the weather.

Janet was the perfect host: helpful and discreet. The cooked breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the whole day.

The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable, we both slept like logs.

There is lots to do in the area - ask Janet about local walks and make sure you visit Eilean Donan Castle, which is just down the road.

Will definitely be back to visit this friendly B&B and further explore this stunning part of the world again.

Six of us took up the whole house for two nights and had a very happy stay. The views, garden, deck, front room, breakfast and location are fantastic. Janet was very nice and cooked up an excellent breakfast with some of the best coffee I have had in the UK (she uses french presses!). There are two rooms - one with a double bed, and one with a double bed and two singles, and they are across the hall from each other, each with its own bath (both spotlessly clean, with excellent water pressure). We really enjoyed having some whisky on the deck under the stars, and being able to walk right onto the shore was soooo nice.
The nearby Kintail Lodge provided an excellent dinner, and Skye is a relatively easy drive away.
