Was a bit nervous about staying here when I initially booked as I have never stayed in a B&B before - however as soon as I arrived an anxiousness I had was elevated right away as I was welcomed at the door by Catherine.
Catherine was very welcoming to us both and showed us to our rooms, asked if we had any questions and it was so homely you could have mistaken it for a relatives place.
Breakfast was lovely you had a choice of full Scottish or continental we opted for the full Scottish and was just lovely - not too much and set you up for the day - by goodness the fresh air gives you an appetite.
Rooms were so cosy and well heated - given the fact that it was still struggling to stay above freezing outside at night time - this was fantastic.
Shower was amazing - so spacious and totally powerful (my kinda shower that just blasts the water hot water out).
Would highly recommend this place to stay - a stone throw from Skye and Eilean Donan Castle and the rooms are far nicer than they appear in some of the local hotels.
You won't be disappointed and thanks to Catherine for our lovely stay.

We booked it by phone as base for our travel to Isle of Skye. Pretty close to Eilean Donean Castle (Highlander (Los Inmortales)). Good rooms, very comfortable beds, hot water and good breakfast. Totally recommended.

Located by the Loch Alsh, this is a hidden place just by the main road. Almost like your own hideout with brilliant view to the lake. Superb treatment by Catherine and her breakfast is just brilliant. She takes great care of all the guests and is very meticulous. Stay here if you want to get away from the maddening crowd in the midst of pure nature. Plan for your dinner though - because nothing's close by and nobody does home delivery.

Overall, we were very pleased - definitely visit again if we return to Skye.

We booked Seadrift B&B online for our Skye and Kyle of Lochalsh trip - at a fabulous price! That wasnt the best part- the house was right on the shore of the Loch and it was a treat waking up to the great scenery from our loch-overlooking room every morning. The rooms were meticulously clean and with all amenities - including good heating and a hairdryer (I mention that since the rest of the Scotland 3-stars we put up at didnt seem to fare very well there, and it was freezing when we visited).

The place belongs to a family that lives on the floor above - a reason why it felt more like a cozy home than a hotel, and our hostess Catherine took very good care of us - at one point really pitching in for us with our car breakdown service (yes, Skye is apparently closed on Sundays, and most petrol pumps there close by 4-5 pm) and helping us out. We cant thank her enough for her help and hospitality, not to mention the great Scottish breakfast in the morning! This was by far the best of our Scottish hotel experience out of all the 3-stars we put up at. We were in the middle of quiet natural beauty- away from the crowds- on the sparkling shores of a lovely loch in a highland village- and we loved it!

For those who want a countryside getaway or a base to travel to Skye and the lovely Eilean Donan castle, this one is a great option, though do take care to check out lunch/ dinner options in Skye/ Kyle of Lochalsh nearby if you dont want to eat out at Plockton Shore (a 10-15 mins walk away) everytime.

Room Tip: The loch-facing room is great if you want to wake up early in the morning and watch the play of the...

The place is very cozy and located in a quiet area, the rooms have direct view over the famous Isle of Skye and a few smaller islands. The rooms and all the furnishing are new, looks like it is newly renovated or it can be that are newly constructed. The owners are nice family that takes good care of you as a guest. It's recommended to come by car because it is nothing on a walking distance arround the place. The strong point of spending your time here is the location/room/price ratio.

Room Tip: Choose room number 2 or 3 for the views !

The B&B is clean, new and sports a good size room. It is a good location to explore the Isle of Skye in a day trip. The "Eilean Donan Castle" in Dornie is definitely worth a visit. Parts of the movie Highlander were shot there!!!
Please check out the Plockton Shore restaurant, which is about 15 min away and unbelievably good...

I chose this B & B as my base for my visit to the Isle of Skye and I am so glad I did. The hostess was very helpful and informative. There was enough tv channels and dvd's if necessary but tv was the last thing on my list of requirements on a get away holiday. The breakfast served was a good start to the day made with fresh locally sourced ingredients. A very peaceful evening every evening, the only noises were that of mother nature and local wildlife. I would highly recommend this establishment and will in future be using it again.
