Great ambience is the usp of this place. The rooms are simple n so is the food.. however, the river cauvery flowing just outside your cottage makes for a wonderful sight... a lot of exotic birds are also visible if u are willing to sit on the river bank for sometime.. all in all a great weekend option

When some old friends wanted to have get together in the city of Mysore, people suggested Srirangapatna where you can relax, walk around, visit beautiful falls and above all enjoy nature in the true form.

On the location part, I was skeptical as this property was lying on a main street connecting Mysore and Bangalore. But, alas, I was proved wrong. Although it is located on the main street, you hardly hear any roaring sounds of motor vehicles, horn, noise pollution etc.

We had a quiet get together and talked about the past, discuss the present and dreamt about the future. It was fantastic.

This hotel is reasonably priced, nicely located and serviced with warmth.

Try it out and you won't be sorry!!

Since we left bangalore late, we decided to stay in this hotel. It is the only option we had, the other one was Amblee hotel, which everyone asked us to avoid.
Here is the karnataka hotel, the room was reasonably ok, the food was average and since the occupancy was low, it felt like they did not have enough staff to take care of the rooms and guests. The good part is, there is a nice river which flows close to the property. But it is not advisible to take bath in this river because we could see lot of cows bathing in the river near by.
Average choice if you don't have an option but to stay in srirangapatna.

The location hotel is right beside the river just off the highway once you cross Srirangapatna towards Mysore. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The balconies from the AC deluxe rooms serve as additional gems. Online booking and checkin are hassle free. The restaurant beside the river is the best place to have a chat with friends. The food is not great but manageable. The complimentary breakfast was good but with only 2 choices. The service is typical government run establishment. Value for money for a nice relaxing weekend holiday. If you have plans for a 2 day weekend trip to Mysore this is the ideal place to stay on day 1 and visit Ranganthittu Sanctuary, Ranganatha Swamy temple, Tippu's palace and travel the next day to Mysore.

Lovely little place. Right by Kaveri. Beautiful cottages, rooms, restaurants. Brilliant location and natural ambiance. Not going to talk too much about the beauty and serenity of the place.

This is not the pampering luxury place. But, sit by the river on granite steps or swing on the swing or read books under large shadows of tamarind trees ( a couple of them might fall on you, and you can start munching them) kind of place.

The retaurant menu is very prescriptive ! Mostly, you don't get to choose. You will run into insects, cats, and a remotes for A/C and TV that are not super charged. The restaurant staff might not bow too much or speak in your favorite language, but they WILL be helpful.

Visited Srirangapatna two weeks ago and stayed here for one night. This hotel, as the name says, is situated on the banks of river Cauvery. Very scenic and serene with a pleasing sound of river flowing through rocks and birds chirping in the morning. Rooms are spacious and clean. But what it lacks is a phone in rooms and a much needed room service. We had to go to their open restaurant on the river bank only to confront insects and flies. Food was okay. Breakfast needs more variety. They also have a river rafting facility. But according to govt. rules, they only allow boating at a nominal rate. The path that leads to this hotel from main road — about half-a-kilometer — is deserted and surrounded by very dense woods. Better to avoid walking alone especially if you are a tourist.

Room Tip: Choose double rooms instead of cottages as they are near the river bank and the room balconies have...
