Went for lunch with my Mum, stepfather and toddler on a tuesday. We arrived just before 12 and were only second lot of customers at the time. We were very quickly shown to a table under the vine shaded alfresco area and had very welcome intermittent misting sprays which kept us comfortable on a hot and humid day. The menu has some great platters of mediteranean style food which isn't my parents cup of tea but i would love. There is a cheese cabinet for you to choose from as well. My Mum had fish and chips with prawns which she said were very nice. My stepfather and i had the slow cooked pork ribs with chips and salad. Mine were lovely and tender and not fatty and chips were lovely and crunchy and melt in your mouth. The salad was a mediteranean style leaf salad with onions and a balsami dressing which i quite liked. My step father had quite alot of fat on his ribs but they were still nice. He didn't enjoy the salad as he doesn't like spinach so just depends on your tastes. My son had a box of chips and sauce of the kids menu which was quite large so he only ate a little. It came with a bag of activity sheets, crayons and an apple so kept him entertained. There is a large area of lawn which kids can go play on if you are still eating. The toilets are across the lawn via a short path and have disabled and baby change facilities. There is also pizza and desserts available but after having icecream earlier in the day we weren't up for dessert and too hot for pizza. Meals are ordered and paid for at the counter so great for diners who want separate bills. Menu is quite small, but not expensive compared to many others in the swan valley. If you want free childs meal you need to order between 11 and 11.30 and be clear of table by 12.30. Had a lovely relaxed lunch.
