If you are looking for the most extream rides stop reading and go to Calypso, it's that simple. If you are looking for a great day to spend with your family that won't break the bank than keep reading.
We went to Mont Cascades and were really impressed. Parking was free, The grounds were extreamly clean, and lines were non existant. Yes it's small, but with no line ups you will get more ridding time than you would at Calypso. There is only two extream rides, The Vortex and Tornado Alley, but there were quite a few medium level rides. As a family we all agreed Black Magic was our favorite ride. This place is perfect for young families between the ages of 6 and 10, or for families who have timid kids like mine does. The best part is it's $15 dollars per person versus $33.63 per person plus $10 parking at Calypso. Pack your lunch and it's a $70 dollar day for a family of four after taxes. The same day at Calypso would be $162 for that same family of four. My only advice is buy some water socks, the paths to the rides are hard on the feet. Four the price of a family to see a movie you could go here for the whole day. It's well worth it in my books.

We were initially planning on visiting Calypso with our 2 small kids, but realized spending $100 on tickets to Calypso was not worth it if we spent the majority of our time in a kiddie pool!
Went to Mont Cascades instead and were shocked at the amount of people so early in the day. The kids had a blast as they swam in only 2 areas of the park. It was more than enough for them and we paid $50 for our family of 4.

We took our family up to Mont Cascades water park (it's a ski hill in the winter and a water park in the summer) and it cost us a total of about $60 for 5 of us. We bought our tickets at Costco for about $12 each rather than at the gate where it costs $15. This park is not that big but it's got some very fun rides for all ages. My younger kids loved the small kids area and ventured up to the mammoth river where even my 4 year old could ride along with us. There are also a few wading pools and kids splash zones to keep you cool on the hot day. I also have a teenager who went on all the big rides there and loved it as some of them are quite intense.

They also have a large picnic area with many tables to choose from. Make sure to get there early if you want a shadey spot under an umbrella though as there isn't much shade. They will check your bags so make sure not to bring any glass as everyone is walking around bare foot around the park.

Just remember, this is not Calypso. It's a small park and a lot more affordable. You will not be able to spend a full day there (well you could, but I think you'd get quite bored). It is ideal for about 3 hours of fun.

We took our two boys (8 yrs and 10 yrs) to Mt. Cascades for the day. We bought our tickets ahead of time at Costco so there was no waiting in line. We went on every ride and they were all fantastic and there was something for everyone. The line ups moved quickly. Lots of picnic tables and shaded areas. A great day!

Yes Calypso is a better water park, however it is double the price. We took our 2 year old and it was more than enough.

$15 to get in, lockers can be rented for $2, the food is good and despite the amount of people we had no problem to find sun chairs.

All that to say fir the price it was great.
