“A Matter of Personal Sensibilities”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2011

First, what's very good - and it's a lot: clean, roomy, near-new, and run by a Dutch couple who could not have been more welcoming.

What's not so good - at least to my wife and myself - is the layout of the bath nonroom. This is difficult to describe as I've never seen anything quite like it. The half-room-height wall which forms the "headboard" for the bed is the only division between the sleeping/sitting area and the showering/shaving/make-up area - there is no separate room that would be called a bathroom in the normal sense. Besides any question of personal preference as to privacy, this makes any activity requiring a mirror rather clumsy, since only a small hand mirror (with a bit of a stand) can be used, unless one turns sideways from the sink to use another mirror.

If this unusual arrangement doesn't bother you, this is a fine hotel in a beautiful, fairly isolated location; if the lack of a real bathroom doesn't appeal to you, look elsewhere.

A small hotel in the countryside, very quiet location. The owners were very nice and helpful, giving insider tips and really like what they are doing. The hotel is absolutely spotless and everything very well maintained. The rooms are in soft pastel colors, excellent beds with real down comforters and pillows. We loved the dutch design, modern but cosy.
There was a kettle and coffee machine in the room. Continental breakfast was in the pool house. Excellent meals at restaurants in this area.
The owner will put more pictures on their internet site so one can get a much better idea about their nice B & B.

Large wooden structure of clean and modern design. Room very stylish. Breakfast
served in the pool house - very good. Anything you wanted. Owners charming
young Dutch couple - nothing too much trouble. Drove us to nearby restaurant for evening meal. (and picked us up later!)
