Have eaten here several times now and not been disappointed. Great variety of food, including delicious thin pizza from their own pizza oven.
Beer always good. Service is excellent and friendly.
The place for just a pint as well, not just a food pub.

Evening meal with 2 family members. Nice pub, lovely garden in the summer. Pleasant staff and reasonable service, all main courses were nice my husband loved the steak and ale pie but the desserts were variable! The bread and butter pudding was very poor and just like tasteless wet bread! With drinks, mains and desserts £73. We would eat here again and forgive the B&B pudding as the pub has a lovely atmosphere!

Visited this pub for the first time last night and had a very enjoyable evening. The welcome we received as soon as we walked through the door was very friendly both from the landlord and the bar staff. The service was slick, the food delicious and plenty of it (what a huge cheese board!) and a good choice of ales. Can't wait to visit again to try their carvery and can highly recommend if you want a quality classic English pub experience.

Had Sunday lunch there with a friend recently. The Dining room is invariably booked up well ahead and as it was a spur of the moment thing we were directed to the lounge which is smaller and a little less formal - but no less comfortable. We could have had anything on the main menu (including a roast for around £10) but picked from the smaller bar menu. I went for the Lamb and Leek pie which came with roasted root vegetables, and my partner picked a roast pork sandwich. That turned out to be (bizarrely) off the menu, and so she chose the Seafood Chowder instead.

Both dishes were around the £9 mark, and we finished both, they were well cooked and presented. Without drinks we would have had lunch for less than £20, but we actually doubled that with a couple each - wine is a fearful price in pubs these days, they are all cashing in on it's popularity. Pros, a casual friendly atmosphere, well cooked if unadventurous food and a pleasant decor inside, and lovely gardens outside. Cons, it took long enough to draw comment to get our food. This was probably largely due to the fact it is a busy and successful pub, as the team who worked there though all very young, seemed able.

Would I go again? Yes, and although I might not go out of my way to do so as other restaurants also have great food at similar prices in the Hereford area, it was a memorable meal, and one we both enjoyed greatly. Recommended.

Well we just came back from our second visit to The Bell...and it was even more enjoyable than the first time...We went for a bithday lunch today and the service was terrific, friendly, acutally made you feel you were very much appreciated for coming to the bell.

The food was of a very high standard...and the best ploughmans lunch since 1972, when i enjoyed my first one. As a Canadian sitting with three scots it was a treat to enjoy the Otter pie (outstanding gravy), fine ale, and well without any request or hints a lovely hot chocolate cake with candles was brought out for May's 86th birthday on behalf of The Bell. Very much appreciated and just a simple statement in how they care for their customers.

So we will be back many more times as we re settle back in England, close to mom and would provide the highest recommendation to visit The Bell in Bosbury.

Cheers....bill
