We have just returned from a 2 week break at the wonderful Sensatori Tenerife resort. We looked hard to try and find a much needed holiday that provided a relaxing environment but also had plenty of entertainment for our two young children. Sensatori delivered on all fronts. The hotel is situated in a small sleepy Spanish town which proved a great place to potter around to get the kids asleep after lunch, the hotel amenities where as we expected at a 5 star - the SPA was great, the variety of restaurants and quality of foods fantastic, the service from staff was 5 star+, Childrens club brilliant and the all round general ambience of the hotel made it one of the best holidays we have had to date.

I would highly recommend the Sensotri and plan to revisit again early next year.

Visited for a week in Nov 2011. Booked quite late and got what I would call a bargain for a week of FB plus. Hotel is about 40 mins from the airport. The rooms are gorgeous with a massive bed, huge double bath, seperate shower, double sinks and uk tv channels. An excellent buffet restaurant with so much choice and unlimited wine, beer or soft drinks at lunch and dinner. Other people have mentioned that they found it hard to get drinks refilled and they were small, but we never had a problem and when the plates were cleared we just asked for more, if we weren't offered. The service was great. There were 2 alacarte restaurants that were also included and we ate in the italian one evening, which we would highly recommend. You have to book for these and they get full quickly, so remember to do this when you arrive, esp if you are only there for a week. The hotel has loads of pools, a wide entertainment programme and a very gorgeous spa (it costs extra - but it's well worth it). The inifinty pool is huge, but also feels very quiet - even when quite busy, as it's so spacious. Moute Teide can be seen from the hotel on a clear day. The hotel is situated in a town, with no other hotels - so it's quite remote and there is no other evening entertainment, other than on-site - so don't visit if you like lots of nightlife. There are some shops and a few supermarkets in the town, so you can stock up on water etc.. The hotel is right next to the sea, but there is no beach, but you can walk along the coast. (turn right at the front of the hotel) to the next resort - about 30-40 mins... or get a 5 euro taxi there. There is also some more shops and bars/restaurants here. All in all, a very good hotel, which i'd highly recommend.

Room Tip: All rooms seem good to me. Sensatori rooms seem to have garden views, from what I can tell - so if y...

To all of you who are about to come on holiday to this resort please be mindful of your belongings, we did not anticipate money being stolen from our hotel room! As most people when they come away (especially folk who know how to manage their money effectively) money is one of the vital personal belongings that we bring with us to enhance our holiday experience however, as the hotel offers a full board plus package money is only required for drinks and any other fancies between meals or for trips etc. The hotel does provide a safe however, this is not 100% safe although it is made to sound that way! We were calculating our remaining money in the privacy of our hotel room when we discovered that a large sum of money had been taken from us after searching the hotel room and turning it upside down and thinking we had gone completely mad we the hotel reception who but us through to guest non-relations service, we were asked to provide a list of all our expenditure for the duration of our stay to that morning which as we had a disabled passenger who required intermittent care was quite simple to do as we did not go out drinking for fancy meals, our spending was basic snacks and drinks, and as we thought there was a large deficit between what we had actually spent and what was there!!! At this time we were furious and felt appaled and disgusted that someone had taken this from us especially in a supposed 5 star hotel, we have stayed in far apparenlty less superior places and have yet to have money taken from us! we were then escorted to our room by guest non-relations and hotel supposed manager (if he was a manager im a monkeys uncle) where we had to complete an incident form which was in spanish! at the bottom of this form i noticed that there was a disclaimer funny how we never signed any disclaimer on arrival even in an nhs hospital you sign a disclaimer on arrival! as usual no help was offered in completing said form isnt that what these people are employed to do assist guests, you wouldnt think so! The hotel manager took readings from the room well thats what we presume he did nothing was properly explained then we waited for 2 hours to hear from guest non-relations who said we could report it to the police however, the nearest police station is in playa de las americas some 40 minutes away nobody offered to assist us the best we got was we will ring ahead to let them know you are coming, cheers great help! as you can imagine 2 taxis for the police to do nothing and the thought of nevering seeing the money again was rather insulting! then to top it off they said we will send someone up to re-iterate how to use the safe! this made matters even worse no sorry or we are appaled that one of our colleagues has stolen from you instead they made us feel like criminals and we had done wrong, lets hope someone is a discourteous to them one day in there time of need! Anyway i cannot emphasise enough watch your belonging and keep safe, money is minimal who knows next time it could be your passport!!!! or even worse!!! i did overhear several people reporting missing items however there seemed to be no further investigation into this, pointless doing any complaint with guest relations take it to the top, thomson here i come! PLEASE BE AWARE YOU COULD BE THE NEXT VICTIM!!!!!

We enjoyed our honeymoon here from 7 Nov 2011. The hotel is beautiful, food is excellent, service and facilities are brilliant. Only downfall was the catamaran trip - the trip doesn't match the Sensatori start rating, a bit of a con. Everything else amazing. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday head here as a couple - great for kids too. We didn;t have our son with us but will next time.

Room Tip: If you don't mind paying a little extra the deluxe room on a high floor with an ocean view was e...

We've just got back from a 10 night stay and to be honest, we were happy to leave. Whilst the hotel looks like something out of a film set, the staff and overall experience is lacking the 5 star rating.
We went all inclusive and I'd seriously suggest not doing this. Service at the pool bars is really lacking and we found it impossible to spend the £25pp charge for the service each day. in addition, only house wine is included on the all inclusive so the full board is more than adequate for wine/beer at meals. In addition we were really angry to discover that the hotel don't even provide you with bottled water in your room and this has to be ordered via the mini bar, at an extra charge. Service at breakfast was hit and miss and i'd say the hotel is actually too big or not staffed correctly to make it a pleasurable experience.
In terms of travelling with children, it was a bit of a nightmare for all those with buggies (and for those who need assistance) as the hotel have very few ramps and lifts and the resort is over 3/4 levels making it an olympic challenge to get around. In addition the whole hotel is not designed for little ones (built as a couples only resort they couldn't fill), kids really are an after thought in terms of the layout and design of the rooms (hard, nasty corners on just about every piece of furniture).
The kids pool (once found because not signposted) is really good for the babies and toddlers and the warmest on offer, the main pool is arctic cold.
We liked the kids shows and heard that the other acts were going down a hit. In addition, the other restaurants looked pretty amazing but again, children under 12 aren't welcome most nights and so you have to pick your nights well to get in.
All in all, whilst it was ok, for the money we paid for 10 nights, there are plenty of other good hotels/resorts where i'd have rather spent the money and time. I do feel Thomson/Sensatori need to work on their problems here to make it work and to eradicate the constant complaining they face (every day someone new was complaining at the desk).

Room Tip: Avoid room 2006, its too close to Pangea and smelt of damp. Rooms to the very right of the hotel ar...

very , very nice hotel; good value for money; many different nice places inside the hotel;
just few limitations:
1. kids bed - not comfortable, even for my two little kids (4 and 7)
2. check -in service - I think the hotel staff should me more flexible, when we reach hotel at 21:30, we were very very tired and hungry, they keep us about 15 minutes in order to explain all kind of entertainment activities , i told that i'm not interesting in all details right now, I'll come tomorrow and listen it in a good mood, but it didn't help; she didn't give us keys until she finished.
the hotel itself is very very good.

What an amazing holiday!! we just returned last night and due to the comments which I read before our holiday which caused be concern I felt compelled to write. The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful, food and drink excellent, swimming pools very clean, Spa was wonderful and bedrooms spacious and comfy,
We travelled with a 4 month old and had no issues at all, we used the sensory nursery and the staff were great, well qualified, very thorough and did lots of activities with our daughter.
I am planning to go back as soon as I can! This hotel caters for all ages families, large families and couples. There are lots of adult only areas eg pool and dining areas.

Room Tip: We had a garden room with a private garden & bali bed
