“great bar for short lunches”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

Although in a position unfortunate as it is located next to a busy, noisy roundabout, is very popular as it offers free reading of all the British newspapers and other magazines.
Nice as they bring dishes and desserts on plates of lava stone.
I went there twice in two weeks.
The sandwiches I had were always croccante e gustoso, così come bene i dolci.
Sun Bean is ideal for short lunches and relaxing while reading the news just printed on paper.
Staff is friendly and serve good wine in the bottle at great prices

“Nice lunch”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

My husband had the most ridiculous burger you have ever seen! Absolutely huge with what looked like a pound of meat!

My local platter was delicious but a bit boring with only two types of cured meat and breadsticks on the plate. I guess I should have asked what was I it before ordering!

We walked past several times during our weeks holiday and it was always busy, often with live music in the evening. Certainly seemed like the most lively evening venue in Alcala.

“Great little cafe !”
Reviewed May 24, 2014

We stopped by here on our 1st night after dinner for a coffee & liquor ! We were made very welcome , served the HOTTEST coffee ever , and a liquor served in a huge glass with a VERY generous portion !!! None of this lining the bottom of the glass as in the UK !
Great staff , very friendly , we felt like locals the 2 nd night !
The bar also offers tapas , nice cakes & sandwiches , light meals . On a Sunday lunchtime , Paella & a band feature !!!
Give this a go !!

“Bean and will go again”
Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

Sunny Sunday walk and stumbled on this cafe where a quartet were playing smooth jazz and the chef was completing a wonderful paella. Had to stop, enjoy a drink and the jazz but the star was the paella. Two of us shared on huge dish and it was delicious and it's just on the hotels doorstep. Worth a visit just for the friendly staff, enjoy.
