it is a very good location you can go to Golfito and "la Frontera con panama" in less than 30min the rooms are quiet nice restaurant in the corner very good food and complete meals

Pro: Good location close to down town supermarket and restaurants

Cons: Very small rooms and bathrooms the bed is very close to the window so you can hear the people walking by the corridors.

We got to Villa Neily late unfortunately and weren't up for looking around too much after a full day's driving so, given both our guidebooks raved about this place as though it was the best option in town, we figured it must be good. Perhaps our experience was bad because the place was so busy but we ended up in an uncomfortable room which was part of the laundry area (do NOT stay in room 1 or 2). Cleaners stay in the area til about 10pm, and come back (with their children - joy!) at about 5.30am. Meanwhile the mattress is old, springy, sunken, the light from the laundry shines through the window 24/7 and the mosquitoes rule the roost. Hot water wasn't working either which after several days hiking, we were well in need of. All in all, for $55, we have certainly had a lot better, and that's after spending 3 months across Central America and Mexico. I'm sure most of this was due to all their 'good' rooms being taken already but all the same, we wish we had've checked out the other (cheaper) options only blocks away...

Room Tip: If they only have 1 or 2 available, walk away...

This beautiful hotel and restaurant less than 20 miles from the border of Panama is a traveler's delight. It has a beautiful facade, clean comfortable rooms and good typical food. It gives you a lot of value for the room and services provided. The beds are comfortable. The food is plentiful and delicious. If you are planning to go into Panama but need a break for rest, this is the place to stop.

Room Tip: I think any room would be a food choice. As in the rest of Costa Rica, asking for a room with one b...

We stayed one night at Hotel Andrea after crossing from Panama into Costa Rica late in the evening. It is a gem in an otherwise characterless town. It must be very popular with locals as we lucked out and got the last two rooms available. It was FULL! I am not sure what business brings people to Neilly but most of the guests seemed to be business oriented. The restaurant was pretty good and the service was prompt and friendly.

This hotel isn't really in Manuel Antonio (but I think it's owned by the same company that owns a hotel there). It's in the town of Cuidad Neily, about 30 minutes from the border to Panama. We stayed here after arriving from Panama too late for buses going anywhere else. I'm glad we stayed!

Amazing deal. I guess it's so cheap because there's nothing to see for tourists in Ciudad Neily. Other than that, excellent price for a great room. Nice shower, nice beds, nice TV, nice everything. Clean and safe.
