“needed to go no further”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

this was the first of 5-6 wineries we visited and really we needed to go no further for a good quality wine.Nice place friendly informative presentation.I bought a bottle and upon consuming it at home in Alberta had them send me a case in the mail!great service .I plan to order another when 2012 vintage is released.

“Some of the best Pinot Noir in The County”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

When you concentrate on only one varietal you better do it well. And The Old Third does. It's hard to find better Pinot Noir in The County (or all of Ontario for that matter). Bruno and Jens do an amazing job with their wine and the experience in their beautiful tasting room only complements their exceptional wine. Do yourself a favour - visit The Old Third and sample some of the best Pinot around.

“Cellaring a few bottles”
Reviewed May 21, 2012

The Old Third winery is an interesting stop. The barn is charming and recently renovated. They are focusing their attention on a couple products that taste great. The host - vintner - was kind and eager to share their story, their ideology, and their successes. I found his energy about their product inspiring. Anyhow, I tried both wines on offer. We bought a few of the 2010 Pinot Noir with the intention of cellaring them for about three to five years although it is drinkable now. It has a fruity cherry flavour, medium body, and a long warm peppery finish. This wine is going to do well.
