“Great food but very noisy”
Reviewed March 2, 2012

Attentive staff and really great food. It is a small room and when it is full it is impossible to have a conversation because it is so noisy.

“Great food”
Reviewed July 5, 2011

I've been a customer of Balti Cottage ever since they opened in 1990's. Over time their quality of food has always remained impressively high. All the food can be seen being prepared, so you have the opportunity to see the care that is taken in preparation and you can examine the level of hygiene whilst drinking a complementary cup of coffee. Very civilised.

They have a range of food, in this, their take away shop. They also have a restaurant next door, but be aware that you need to take your own wine or beer as they do not have a liquor licence. There is, however, a small supermarket over the road at the petrol station, which sells alcohol if you forget.

My favourite dishes are generally from the chefs special section of the menu. The food really is good. Whilst spicy, the underlying flavours are allowed through. My favourites? Any of the Karahi dishes and the Balti Nobabi which has a wonderful orange under taste.

I've never eaten in, as I'm too local really, but looking into the restaurant area, it looks clean, tidy and well lit and, of course, is supplied from the kitchens next door.
