We were fortunate enough to dine at this charming upstairs restaurant during our recent stay in nearby Trequanda in August 2012. The quaint and intimate setting of the restaurant is on the second floor atop a bar that blends in naturally with the landscape of the quiet and quaint streets in the village of Montisi. There is no menu, but instead the owner personally explains the various options and then designs plates and combinations based on the guests' personal interests and/or dietary restrictions. The owner takes great pride not only in the satisfaction of the customer but the presentation and taste of each plate he brings to the table. It is very obvious that he has a true passion, not only for cooking, but serving and taking care of others. His humble and friendly attitude eliminates all the stress of ordering food - especially for those who may be new to the Italian language - and makes for very pleasant conversation. While the restaurant is somewhat small in physical space and only consists of several tables over two rooms it still has a private feel for the dining experience yet with a elegant and more modern undertone. Great for all types of visitors to couples or large families. Could not have asked for a better dining experience both in quality and overall ambiance and truly represents the heart of Tuscany - in food and family!
